Dallas Coordinators safe

This board doesn't appreciate how hard it is for NFL teams to find coaches that crater immediately when a player goes down. Lose Romo, march out backups that can't win 1 simple game from their 4-12 season. Lose Zeke? No problem, take 3 games to figure out how to win a game even though RBs are plug and play in the NFL. Lose Sean Lee? No problem, have an entire defense melt down because 1 guy isn't out there. Lose your LT? No problem proceed to not adjust the protections and get your QB killed and completely ruin any confidence you've built with Chaz Green.

It takes a lot of years to build a system that implodes completely when 1-2 guys go down. Never mind the fact that losing players is just a fact of life in the NFL.

Linehan and Rod altering their gameplan when a starter gets injured.

The defense was actually better than expected except for the games where Lee was out. Our secondary actually looks like it has some promise with the addition of Chido provided he can stay healthy. The offense put up 30+ points in four straight games and never scored fewer than 28 in 5 straight until Zeke was suspended and Tyron started missing games, so it’s not surprising Marinelli and Linehan appear to be coming back. Jerry has a list of reasons to bring them back including a winning record despite all the issues.

A glimmer of sunshine in an otherwise cold cloudy day.

The reality is this wasn’t a terrible season or even a bad season but it was a disappointing season that certainly didn’t live up to expectations. One of the best halfs of football we played all season was against the Rams and we blew that game in the second half. Had we just played decently in the second half it would’ve been an easy win and had we won another one of the close games we were in this could’ve been a very good season. We weren’t that far off from being a solid team this year but we didn’t show up in the second half of several games. This was a strange season.

I agree with you. So the gigantic pink elephant in the room is.... How do we fix the whole "inability to readjust at halftime" norm that seems to have taken the team by storm?

Well this way all the coaches can be fired as a group (JG included) after next season........

The cliché goes, "Even a blind hog finds an acorn occasionally." So, perhaps under JJ's leadership the Cowboys will someday luck out and do something in the playoffs. However, a blind pig might have better instincts and know more about what it is trying to accomplish than Ole' Jerry does.

It seems to me we were too comfortable going in at halftime in some games because the games were close and we were playing okay. The plan seemed to be to stick to what we were doing instead of making some adjustments. I base this on some of the comments Garrett made to the sideline reporters heading into halftime. He had nothing but positives to say about the teams play. He would say we got to continue doing what we’re doing.

You can tell by the way Garrett repeat things over and over that he’s a creature of habit. Let’s have a good Wednesday, let’s have a good Thursday, we can only control what we can control. It’s the same damn thing over and over with him, he’s a robot.

We as fans need to basically unionize and strike until our demands are met.
But most of you will still be forking out boatloads of cash for tickets and merchandise no matter what.

Jerry should've negotiated 10 Super Bowls instead of 3 when he sold his soul to the devil.

Man dude. We could have gotten so many really good names in here for coordinators. Do you think that perhaps this proclamation by Jerry is a smoke screen?
Oh yes, that tricky Jerry with his smoke screens.

Jerry I'm not the best cook in the world but I will volunteer to be your full-time Chef free of charge for a week. Really just give me a week

I think Jerry Jones has always believed he has a winning formula floating around inside his head. Problem is, his formula grew cobwebs and he never attempted to dust them off.

Jerry had success in taking big risks and got lucky. He knows how to make deals and he is successful with it.

But to have a successful team in sports means to know how to build something legit from ground up. He doesnt have that ability.

I believe he wants his team to succeed. But he also thinks he knows best. In the last years especially after the garett hiring he seems to finally got it that he doesnt know how to do it. But i am still not convinced. I think the passing of the torch is more because he feels he is getting too old and its time to do it because of that.

His son is as stupid as the Father is. But the one thing that differs them is that it seems the sons ego is not that big and he is willing to listen to people who know how to build a good team.

To me i Credit garett for that. I know alot of people dont like him. But to me a hc job is not to make the right calls ingame. Its his job to bring in the righr people to do the job. And organize Everything so nothing disturbs them from doing it. He is very good at that.

I do believe will mcclay is all garrets doing. Also being able to silent jj and switch decissions to his son. I still like garrett alot as long as he is not handling game decissions. Hes not good at it. The least to say.

Goose was on the Ticket and for someone who I thought was such a homer in the past, he seemed exasperated by Garrett and the staff. Said if everyone is retained you have to change the personnel and he’d start with the first two picks being WR

It's about $$$$ dude. All these coaches got new deals last offseason. It's not a coincidence that the only coaches that are leaving are the ones with expiring deals. Jerry is a cheap ***.
These contracts are a tiny drop in the bucket for a man as wealthy as Jerry. I'd say its more about Jerry feeling comfortable with his group of sycophants. He knows a coach with self respect would look at Jerry like he is nuts working in this dysfunctional organization.

Jerry is the coach. JG is the tattle tale yes man, the OC and DC are the good old boys who tell Jerry how smart he is non stop.
