Dallas Cowboy Cuts and Transactions***Merged***

We just seem terrified of doing anything to legitimately upgrade the D through free agency.

We love the draft-- but we simply are unwilling to look anywhere but the scrap heap and reject pile to help the D when it comes to free agents.

Pathetic. Would rather just go lean at CB and play the kids and let em learn than let a vet scrub get playing time

Apparently this past free agency period there were four teams very interested in him. I thought for a second maybe they want to jump ahead of team's higher on the waiver wire, but he is a four year veteran so wouldn't go through waivers.

I am not a fan of this move but we have turned something out of nothing on this defense.

We have a team of guys that do a lot more research and have a lot more pressure on them than anyone on this board.

If he is a McClay guy...I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. It's not like we were going to land a game changer at this point.

Man this is a horrid move. This guy gave up 300 yards to Julio jones in a single game. Progress stopper.

He's stopping the progress of young players who can't get on the field?

Try to see what is really going on - we just traded a conditional pick for someone to play CB#4 for a few weeks while the picks get in the practice they needed to get ready to play at this level.

He'll likely get cut before meeting the conditions of the trade.

Our defensive scouts are pretty bad. Offense is another story.

Not really.

We just don't put significant resources on defense.

How many first round picks are on offense? I can think of st least 5 without putting much thought into it...including a top 5 pick and a couple top 15 picks.

How many on defense? I can think of 2...picked near the bottom of the first. We have landed some significant production out of nothing on defense....why do you think so many of them have left here to get paid elsewhere?
