Most curious of how we compare to other teams. When you get out of the first 3-4 rounds, the percentage of chance you will land a good player falls off entirely.

Not saying we can't do better but I would estimate you have less than a 20 percent chance(or less) of the player being on your roster in 2 years if they are picked outside of the first 4 rounds.

You can't hit on every pick. I'm more concern about rounds 1-4. Then hitting every once in a while from picks 5-7.

DAL does seem to struggle with the late round picks.

They never seem to go for the "known" guys.

They always come up with guys that none of the experts even think of.

Their track record on 5-7 round picks is pretty weak. They do better with UDFAs.

Scandrick, Hanna and DHarris are the only hits in the last 10 years.

Most teams dont have a lot to show for in the 5th round+. Though I think its resonable to find atleast 1 player in that round over a 6 year period, which the cowboys havent done recently. With that said this isnt the reason the cowboys havent been a consistent playoff performer.

I would take any three of those over all of our picks from rounds 4-7 in the last 10 years.

What was the last quasi starter for the Cowboys...back with Hatcher's draft?

One wonders on the roll overs for special team players, for sure.

They certainly have been shooting blanks in the 5th round for the last five years...I would be more practical than philosophical in that round, if it were me.
