I have to give the Cowboys a lot of credit. There are no moral victories but the defense held Atlanta to 100 yards rushing. I expected the Falcons to run for at least 200. So good job by the defense. The offense lost this game. Dak was awful again. And, no, Cooper rush is not the answer. The penalties, especially the false start and pre-snap stuff. That has get to get cleaned up. Too many drives stalled when negative plays set them back.
I expected the Cowboys to lose and I thought there was a good chance that the score could get away from them. It did a little but they held them under 30 points which at least gave the offense the chance to stay in the game. I am under no delusions that that last score was anything but a garbage times clock eating drive with the Falcons playing soft.
The Falcons were averaging giving up 132 rushing yards per game and the Cowboys ran for 137 so they were better today. Rico averaged 6.3 yards per carry but had only 12 carries.
This is a bad football team right now. I don't see it getting any better. The offense lacks talent. The defense is injured. I am happy to take a top 10 draft pick and maybe solve one problem somewhere on this roster.
