According to The Ticket, Jerry is the reason they have to keep using Zeke. Rico could've had 200 with all the carries.
I can't believe so many people don't get this. Mike has liked Rico from the start -- even called him a "stud" back when he was just a special teams guy.

Zeke got the run he did because Jerry called him a starter, or lead back, or whatever the exact words were.

Honestly getting 1000 yards in todays NFL isn't impressive....that's 59 yards a game.....
Yeah but nobody thought he would even get close to that this season. He would be well over 1000 yards if he got the bulk of the carries earlier this season.

But that had nothing to do with Ezekiel Elliott this is on Mike McCarthy Mike McCarthy wanted to play around like this but especially after the Pittsburgh game there should have been no doubt who should get the ball and who should be the backup and it didn't happen that is not on Jerry Jones I promise you this is all Mike McCarthy he was trying to find the right mix and he did this last year with Tony /rico they were given really the backwards amount of carries as far as the type of carries in the type of situations Rico showed this last year and then get his respect it's all Mike McCarthy

Pay Rico and Osa
I'd wait to pay Rico.

The difference in the OLine has been significant without Zack Martin.

Even with Beebe out, Hoffman at C, and Bass... I think the OLine (and who is coach) will dictate if they pay Rico or look for a RB in the draft or FA (and pay less).

Next year we could see: Smith - Bass - Beebe/Hoffman - Hoffman/Beebe - Guyton, which might be an upgrade from this year.

You sign Rico, Lewis, and Osa.

To think, this team should be 7-7 but for a brain fart by #27 on MNF against the Bengals on Monday.

Crazy to even think about. Despite his warts, McCarthy is a really good football coach.
well the jones probably agree with you.

Rico may be pricing himself out. Osa, too. I wouldn't be surprised if Lewis reunites with Quinn.

We'll pay Micah and then fill in around him with whoever we can sign for cheap.

Does it matter what Jerry says some of you little low hanging fruit that come in and only post every now and again are upset that we win games look Jerry may be delusional but he's right we're not mathematically out of it but nobody here thinks we're making the playoffs but I'm still gonna enjoy this win nonetheless and I'm sorry you don't like it
Fair point. OK.

They have 100 million. Stephen is a liar.
They have $45 million with their rollover. They can have $100 million+ mostly by continuing to kick Dak and Cee Dee's cap down the road further (plus signing Parsons to lower his 5th year). Kind of an important difference given that there are 6 teams who will have that much cap space without resorting to restructuring.

Not saying I would not do that, just stating that we are in this mess because of kicking cans down the road on players who may/may not be living up to contracts.

Edit: Oh, I agree, Stephen is a liar.

Right now, without rollover or restructures they are 23rd in cap space going into next year.

But Rico HAS been among the top backs in the league since McCarthy committed to him three weeks ago. (In-game they showed a statline that Rico had the most rushing yards in NFL over the last three games prior to Carolina - and today’s effort isn’t likely to set him back). It’s hard to make a name when your team won’t give you the carries. Cowboys should include Dowdle in their 2025 plans.

He is and he will continue to be. He is now playing for a contract. He made some beautiful runs today.

Against some really bad defenders. Lets see next 3 weeks what he does. Then we will have a better idea of what he is
