Game Day Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants | Postgame

Not an excuse for the Cowboys poor performance but I was thinking “it seems like we open on the road all the time”

Did you know that the Cowboys have opened on the road 14 times in the last 25 years? Only the Pack has more

Over that same span the Texans have opened on the road 8 times.

Did you know that competitive fairness isn’t even in the top three reasons for NFL scheduling?

TV
Stadium usage conflicts
Sportsbook influence

I wasnt surprised by the third item but i was disappointed
Opened at home 3 times in the past 10 years. The League loves putting us in the toughest spot on opening night. It makes for good TV because we usually can’t overcome it.

This was grim business. I was honestly pretty pessimistic on the Cowboys winning this game but I also thought that the defense would at least be somewhat improved. It beggars belief that they changed all of the coaching personnel and a huge portion of the players and it literally looked like last years defense… possibly even worse. Very few splash plays and easy conversions constantly, especially on simple dump offs to the RB that would generate 7-10 yards every time. There is no silver lining to the defensive display tonight.

The offense also suffered from some of the same problems it did last year, namely the slow starts in the first quarter. Though they weren’t terrible, they just don’t play well enough within the context of the game. If your defense is as bad as it was today you have to take risks on offense and play with extreme aggression. They didn’t do that.

He had guys playing out of position everywhere.....Barham on the edge when he was so good playing ILBer...

Been saying it all off season...Downs in the slot was a mistake. Now they better move Downs to his more natural spot...SS...Now that Hooker is out. Instead we will probably get that dope Locke. He sucks.

Durante in the slot.....Get Revel in there...

Thought for sure you were gonna get Barham and Overshown...Instead we went small with Overshown and Winters and they couldn't get off blocks.

Had my doubt about stopping the run with 6 guys...Took all of but a quarter to find out Parker's plan was crap. @ least he adjusted with going to the 3-4 and getting bigger up front with Agbonnia...and that seemed to help stop the bleeding in the run game....But then we got away from playing man defense...and that's when they completely played keep away the rest of the night.

Him and ceedee need to sit behind jsn, puka, chase, Jefferson amd st brown and battle out the non top 5 spots. A top 5 guy catches that pass in that moment. That was 1 of the key points.
In Pickens' defense, he doesn't usually drop passes. CeeDee has been guilty of this more often. But in this game, they both left a lot to be desired.

And I'm probably one of the only people here that hasn't been a fan of Aubrey and that hasn't changed.

We had zero answers. Wait until we play Philly, Seattle, Baltimore, SF, LA, Detroit, and Houston.
And some people on this board scoff at strength of schedule.

Yeah ok.

This team sucks.

Again.

CP is out of his league as a DC

Picking up Broderick Jones with the 3rd might be a lot more expensive than realized. Its going to be closer to the beginning of third round instead of the last pick in the 3rd round.
I still like the trade....Give the kid a chance. I still think we stole one from the Steelers again. We may not have given up any sacks...But Steele got beat and gave up some pressures.

Taunting when you’re losing. That’s the team in a nutshell

Yeah....I don't get it. All this talk about doing the right thing all off season...doing things the right way...and then you get this jackass move...in a crucial situation that cost you a point....and momentum.

I honestly wouldn't start him next week...Just to prove a point. Wanna be an A-hole????? A-holes are on the bench
