Game Day Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers Postgame Thread

They got rid of Romo too soon. Then I thought Dak, played well but not great. Even though his salary is not formidable, he should not have got it. I wanted him to become the guy, he shows glimpses.

But he's not. He's just not.Tear ir down and rebuild, it's all we can do ...

I will be physically sick if there is even an attempt to re-sign him
There was some excuse for overpaying Schulz this year as a bridge player. I didn't like it, but I can see an argument for it.

No way next year. Ferguson is already about as good, and it wasn't Ferguson making a rookie mistake in the final drive.

I'm less fazed by these losses every year. It's not exactly shocking anymore.
Working on 3 decades of postseason futility.

Gotta hand it to the defense, though. They showed up and made a game of it despite all the lacks on offense.

Many QB's have bad games, but Dak has showed of pattern...He is inconsistent. This is what your going to get next year until he retires. He won't go far in the playoffs. He has had some talented teams and cant get it done. Dallas problems start with Jerry the coaches and the QB
You could have left it at the problems start with Jerry, period. We're closing in on 3 decades of futility and sometimes outright embarrassment, and he's been the boss the whole time.

Defense played well, Deebo and Mcaffrey didn't really have a huge impact. I think Quinn takes a HC job elsewhere
Defense played admirably, most of the time. Stupid out of bounds penalty on us. Another drive our penalties gave them 2 first downs in a row. Several missed easy interceptions. 49ers beat us and we helped beat ourselves.

In all honesty: The Cowboys looked like a tired team, coming off an emotional WC road win and a short week of practice: I'm surprised they were in the game as long as they were.
They didn't look tired, that defense was assume, the offense just looked confused, the entire offensive scheme was bad. I don't think those excuses had anything to do with it.
