Here's another amazing fact from the game that most haven't realized. With less than 4 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, the score was 20-9 in favor of Dallas. The final score was 34-26. 31 total points were scored in those final 3 minutes and change. That has to be among the most points ever scored by both teams in that time frame.

Yep. It was 13-9 with 6:47 left in the game.
Crazy game! 3-3 at halftime, they were mocking the game saying "well, at least it's tied".
Whole lotta fun to watch. Especially, while truly not caring if they won or lost (draft scenarios) but the "fan" in me took over.
Living in the area of burgundy and gold, it makes the week so much better for the many silver and blue football fans here.

Team seems to have more spirit without Dak. Players looked like they were enjoying it more. You have to wonder if Dak is as devisive in the locker room as he is on CZ. Note that this is the first game the team has played without Dak in the clubhouse - he wasnt on IR until the end of last week.

We even won with a poor QB.
We have been lied to for years from the media and Dak's loyal fans about his vaunted "leadership" cred

Many in that locker room gave up on him a long time ago.

The GB debacle last January was the final nail in that coffin

Well, we're playing Josh Butler as a starting corner because of all our injuries. That's bad. The fact that he looked decent at times today had more to do with going against Noah Brown than his ability IMO.
even so, there is absolutely no logical reason to want to win this season. even if we are the luckiest team on the planet and we somehow make the playoffs, we are doing NOTHING.

the handling of this team is already shameful, so please, spare me the pride angle.

Nobody wants to hear your opinion either it's not just about pride you play every game to win if you happen to be bad enough and lose a bunch of games you'll get the draft picks you deserve but you don't lay down and upset the fabric of the game and allow teams to win that are in playoff races with other teams you can't give away free wins it is absolutely against everything sports were designed to do if you don't understand that you never played the game I don't care about the draft until this season is over you'll get what you deserve and even if we're in the middle of the pack instead of top five or top ten we've got a lot of good draft pick just like after 2020 we were six and 10 we end up getting glam and digs and steel and Tyler be honest and it was a good offseason and then we went on a three-year run of 12 win seasons I don't care about your views on pride because no player or coach in this league plays to lose the game...

You think we should lose our purpose you also need to know that if the league sees you purposely laying down they can take draft picks from you you can get fined and you can lose draft picks we're bad enough that we will lose whatever amount of games we lose organically that's not tanking there's no such thing as tanking that's a fan born narrative all the players on the field from top to bottom don't wanna lose all the coaching staff from top to the bottom don't wanna lose and most G miss and most owners do not wanna lose on purpose is absolutely not what sports is all about it's not just about us losing it's us hailing free wins away to other teams that might be in a race to another opponent and that's not fair to those people to give a free pass that's not how it works...

And no matter how much you kick and scream and act like a toddler to try to convince us that we should want to lose and not feel good about a win it's not gonna work 'cause nobody's doing that on purpose I know it seems like that but even the Miami Dolphins were angry that they almost lost the tank for tua you remember and they ended up getting him even though they fell down two or three spots we won at the end of 2020 and still got our people...

So I'm flat tired about how you're telling us that we shouldn't have pride that we shouldn't wanna win because losing doesn't feel good that's why I'll take the draft picks don't I don't get as upset this time of year if we lose I know it's gonna benefit us but it has to be organically so now I don't have to be so upset or emotionally tied to these games I'm expecting us to lose most of them but we're probably winning two more games possibly 3 no I don't think we're gonna be good enough to get into the playoffs nor do we wanna be in the playoffs but if it happens I probably will be happy about it i'm not praying for it.. But I don't hear the Green Bay Packers being upset their team where it was nine and eight made a late run and got in the playoffs I know I know they they were allegedly better than us last year 'cause they kicked our **** no they were nine and eight they barely made it in and that fan base was ecstatic....

And I'm betting that 7 and 9 Washington team that won the division they probably weren't proud of that but I thought they were happy they won the division and they had a playoff game I mean that's far worse than what worked on me dude I mean they won the damn division it's the second time that's happened there's been division winners at 8-8 and I don't think their fans were giving their tickets back I don't think their team forfeited those games they played them and they were happy to play them...

I wonder if there will actually be someone dumb enough, this week, to hypothesize "If we win out, we're in the playoffs"

I hope not....but the pessimistic side of me thinks the very large dumb element of our fanbase may rear its ugly head this week.
And that person would be Jerry Jones... smh

5 seconds after I posted this, I saw a thread pop up entitled "8-7 now a real possibility"

I knew it would happen. LOL...no where in the mental gymnastics this poster was doing did he ever acknowledge the fact that we've played like a bottom 5 team all year even with Dak, nor the fact that we needed multiple missed extra points, kick return TDs etc even to manufacturer this 1 win in 2 months.

You can't make this up

Yes! How many owners sit at their games and have the play sheet with them? I've never seen that before, but our narcissist owner just has to flash the play sheet around the camera as if he had something to do with play calling.

However, I would not doubt that he requires that and also has a speaker so he can hear the play being called and also to call down to the puppet coach to call a certain play! I despise that fool more and more everyday!
That was a wine list.....

The NFL needed Dallas to win this game so everyone would tune in to the Thanksgiving game. A loss and the Cowboys and NFL would have lost a lot of money Thursday

I saw the same sentiments when the giants won an absolute meaningless game at the end of the season against Washington and it eventually ruined their draft.

Giants started 3-7 last season and were in place for the #2 overall draft pick. All they had to do was fold but they ended up winning three meaningless games in a row before losing the final four in a row.

At this point washington already had 4 wins, giants controlled their own destiny for the #2 overall pick. Giants went on to beat Washington and the Patriots in consecutive games to ruin their draft position, teams they wear both ahead of in draft position.

This year seems to be way more top and bottom heavy with record so every win hurts a lot more. Giants picked 6th overall with 6 wins. 6 wins by Dallas could have them picking in the low teens.

I'm not kicking and screaming. I am merely pointing out the illogical reasoning of wanting to win anything this year. It's an exercise in futility.

what is important about not doing well? because maybe.... just MAYBE, Jerry will get it through that thick skull of his that he is NOT building teams that are good enough and try to figure out WHY that is.

You see regardless of how you see this year, I am worried about the NEXT 10 years if Jerry can somehow rationalize "oh well it was INJURIES, and LUCK that kept us from going all the way again, no changes needed HERE."

and we will continue with the same old, same old rationalizations that have gotten us NOTHING for the last 30 years.

so yeah, I will trade one terrible , godawful season if it strikes home to make the current toxic atmosphere change.

No, I don't give a hoot about one playoff game. I have seen a million times better.

But hey , y'know, if sometimes winning against a terrible giants and not quite ready Commanders team floats your boat for an entire Dallas Cowboys season, you do you. I want better for this franchise.

Look I'm not reading that I already stated my opinion and I'm telling you again it is not futile players and coaches and typically owners and GM do not lose on purpose there is no such thing of taking within an organization they do it organically they're already losers and so they pull their veterans guys who are banged up and then they play their younger talent to see what they have for next year that's organically tanking but no team is gonna go on that field with the mindset of a loser you got that do you have that mindset because you look in the mirror we don't do that you don't lose the integrity protecting the fabric integrity of sports as you go and try to win every game it's not futile you will get your drop picks if you're draft wisely if you get lucky and you hit on your prospects they're all over the Internet go look you can find great players all over the draft so it's not futile you don't lose games on purpose especially when you're mathematically in it they are not laying down nobody has that mindset but a fan it's a fan born narrative taking is a word fans made-up and it just Sprint it's insidious it's a virus it is not real yes teams end up doing it but it's not on purpose not one player in the locker room jocks out on that field thinking they need to play poorly and lose that's not how it works,,

it's quite the opposite I don't care how you feel about your organization you have a choice you can just go away pick another team stop complaining you are kicking and screaming like a toddler this is how it is if you don't like the way Jerry runs the team you can move on if you think it's been like this 30 years and it's gonna be like this another 10 what are you doing here because all you're doing is complaining it's falling on deaf ears no one's gonna hear you up in the star do yourself a favor and move on
