News: Dallas Cowboys: DeMarcus Lawrence not satisfied with 6.5 sacks

Contract year. Talks cheap..lets see what he has after his first Tag yr. No more one hit wonders, earn it.

Is this dude really going to make me go back on my "I don't like to resign players performing well in a contract year" stance?
Nope. Don't buy into any player that suddenly becomes elite during his contract year. It is horseshyyt. Franchise him twice if needed.

This is where I would first see how things could be fitted within a team cap picture, with a negotiated contract. If not, then tag and go from there.

If he keeps it up I don't think you're going to get his agent to agree to anything less than elite money and years. Especially with the potential back injuries, he's going to get Demarcus as much guaranteed as someone will pay in the market. I don't even want to know that number.

The season is still young but I wouldn't be very serious about any contract talks, 100% tag at this point.

...no arguments here, by this fan. Let's just hope and enjoy the now, lol.

This is one of those situations where there really are no good answers; just less bad ones.
