Dallas Cowboys Stadium Art

Are you ready for some modern art?

Somehow, we can't picture Hank Williams Jr. kicking off a Monday Night Football game with those words, but that's exactly what Dallas Cowboys fans will be greeted with this season.

The Dallas Cowboys Art Program is commissioning 14 pieces to start. The art will be installed in high-visibility positions all over the stadium (Maybe not on the 50-yard-line, but high visibility nonetheless.)

Jones' wife Gene said the program emulated the ancient Greek and Roman art-festooned stadiums.

I was wondering what that was in the corded off section of the stadium at the open house the other day. I did notice the random pieces of 3D art over some of the entrance ways.........I like the 3D pieces, but I'm not a big fan of the painted stuff so far. It just doesn't seem to go with the stadium at all.

Art?? looks like crap, couldn't we taken that money and actually put the video boards on the outside of the building that should of been there as planned instead of that so-called art.

I'm pretty sure there are video boards on the outside of the building..........but I haven't seen them lit up yet, so I'm not sure if they are working.........do you know something I don't on this?? (say it ain't so)

Now That's funny!!!! Jerry builds a 1.15 billion dollar stadium, but says sorry, too expensive to put the video boards on the outside as in the plan.. what would the cost be, 20 million!!! what's another 20 million when were talking over a billion..

It might have been completely cost-related, but I believe I read before that they were ditched because they were hard to see or something and deemed not worth the cost.
