The Rams have given up a lot of big plays, and this well could be a big game for Dez Bryant.

If the 49ers can put up 39 and Pierce Garcon can get 149, I expect Dez to find alot of mismatches. No way they cover all our wrs (Swit should get touches there). And have to account for Witten and Zeke/Dak combo running.

The Dallas offense, agreed, should be very productive...and the defensive line for Dallas should set the real tone for this game as to push and pull.

Getting the offense less Dez dependent should be high up on the priority list.

Dez already is the top TD producer since a rook...and if the rest of the group is pulling their weight, then he will top 10 TD's this season. Funny how that one goes around...

Look.... Dez Bryant ain't no Michael Irvin.

Now.... before you run to stats....

IT AINT ABOUT THAT!

Michael and Emmitt would joke about stats....

Emmitt would brag about he leads/led in all his categories.... TD's etc...

Irvin would respond because he made the big catches and left it for Emmitt at the one yard line.
While not entirely accurate.... you get the point.

Irvin was a big part of Emmitt and Aikman success.

Dez.... not so much. Dude gets flat out taken out of games.

I get tired of this. Here's the brutal truth:

Dez Bryant now plays on a RUN FIRST football team. He's never gonna put up Julio Jones or Antonio Brown #'s where he gets 300+ yards over 2-3 games. It's simply NOT going to happen. Unlike OBJ with the Giants, over 30% of our offense does not run through Dez. Never has, never will. This is not a limited offense & people who think Dez is 'limiting' our offense have it exactly backwards.

Not only does Dez Bryant play on a RUN FIRST offense, when the ball IS thrown, what makes this Cowboys offense so dangerous is that we're NOT limited to just 1-2 good receivers. We have at least 4 legitimate threats running around out there. Bryant, TWill, Beasely and Witten. Brice Butler is emerging into a threat as well. And we need to get Elliott more involved catching out of the backfield.

Dak isn't there yet with Romo's touch ability/anticipation to get the ball past the double coverage Dez draws. He may get there soon, though. In the meantime we have 4-5 other receivers feasting on the single coverage they draw.

His guaranteed money is up. So is his time in Dallas. Too expensive with too little return on the investment. It will be a business decision. Production vrs jersey sales. Time to say goodbye. Bryant is done as a viable commodity. That's all that matters to ole Jerry boy.
Jerry has an attachment to him. Stephen didn't want to give him the contract but Jerry capitulated.

There might not be a top WR in free agency but they still likely could get more for their money than what Dez is providing.

How about Devante Adams. He had 75 catches for 1000 yards and 12 TDs last season.

I'm assuming he does not have brain damage after that hit the other night.
