I mean its clear what's going on. All people have talked about is this team can't do anything without Zeke. This has been going on for weeks. They've pushed this narrative and its coming to fruition. Sure, Lee and Tyron are a big part in why we are losing...probably even bigger than Zeke when you factor in what Zeke has behind him and what those guys have behind them.

But there are some fans who are front running fans and they hear Zeke is out and that its over. I'm sure that's a big part of people not tuning in.
Very well may be part of it.
The nfl has an issue with lack of star power these days.
I love football and I hate Aaron Rodgers but I’m not watching a Sunday night game with the packers if I don’t have someone to route for or against.
Zeke is a legit star. In the day of faceless RB’s Zeke is the star people turn on the tv to see.
Banning him should reduce casual interest.

Well....in their defense the ratings have been down all over. Cowboys use to can get away with being 5-11 and still have their ratings be high. And even if the Cowboys suck......last night's game was a big one and they were 5-4.

Do we know if it's the product, the league itself, or everyone like us with an iPhone or IPad up their butts every 5 seconds?!? Lol

It sucks for the average fan, most of us would have to save up to take a family of four to a ball game. We use words like pride, history and tradition. And it means squat to these players and owners. It's all about money. I feel like a fool for caring about this sport.

I think there are a lot of people who feel like you do, and they should. We all should. It's the millions of us that work hard and pay the bills to make this whole thing go.

I think many of us are finally starting to realize that.

News like this is about the only thing that will get JJ’s attention, only because it might affect a TV deal adversely and his bottom line. Cowboys good, ratings good, money flows.

For the first time ever I turned off the game in the 4th quarter and said enough was enough. I have never in 50 years of following the Cowboys done that. I think the product stinks these days and on top of that I think the officials are on the take. We haven't gotten on offensive holding call on the other team in forever and folks are manhandling our receivers and we can't ever get a flag. I don't think that is an accident, I think the Fix is in.

I know the standings in the NFCE for obvious reasons and the NFCN because I live in Green Bay. I do not know the standings in any other division. I have lost interest in anything outside the realm of the Cowboys. I was once a rabid NFL fan that threw alot of money at the NFL, now I am not a rabid fan, and I spend very little money on the NFL. There are alot more of me out there, and that really has to scare the NFL.

I have a confession to make, I have watched more NHL games than I have watched NFL games this year.

Don't think Zeke makes up that difference. He didn't versus a lesser Broncos team.

I know how shallow thinkers think though
He was fat and out of shape then. He is a lean mean Cabo partying machine now!

That's a good point as well. This season doesn't even feel real. Especially the injuries. Off top I think of Aaron Rodgers, JJ Watt, Deshaun Watson, ODB, Andrew Luck, David Johnson, Dalvin Cook.....this yaer is looking like a asterisk year.

Good. I am pleased.

Now hopefully the Thanksgiving Day game ratings tank.

The league brought this on themselves.
I love the part about how the ratings decline may not have happened if Zeke played and the game was closer. You can’t blame this on the Anthem Protest.

https://247sports.com/nfl/dallas-co...-TV-ratings-plummet-in-blowout-loss-110801823

The Dallas Cowboys are typically the NFL's main ratings draw, but in the wake of yet another blowout loss with practically half of their roster sitting out (some of which is by the NFL's own design), their TV ratings are beginning to take a serious tumble.

According to Barry Horn of The Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys drew a 30.0 rating in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Sunday. In a normal game, this would be an excellent rating, but by Sunday Night Football standards for the Cowboys, it is miserable. It is the fourth lowest rating the Cowboys have drawn on NBC's Sunday Night Football, and as a point of comparison, their Week 1 tilt with the New York Giants in that primetime slot drew a rating of 36.5.

The game still did well nationally, beating every other Sunday Night Football Game this season except for the Cowboys-Giants opener with a 13.5 rating, but losing such a large number of viewers in Dallas for a marquee game is hardly ideal for a league that is suffering through a ratings crisis as it is.

The Cowboys also lost viewers a week ago against the Atlanta Falcons, another blowout. That game got a rating of 27.4 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with all four of their other games played in that 4:25 PM time slot drawing a rating better than the 30.0 the Cowboys got against the Eagles.

Perhaps if Ezekiel Elliott had been able to play, the Cowboys would have kept the game closer and more fans would have watched. That was the NFL's decision, and now they are forced to suffer the consequences of it. It's hard to blame national anthem protests for declining ratings in this one.
Good.

It’s getting hard for the biggest ref defending fans on this site to defend. No holds 7 games(meaningless one in Falcons barely counts) guys blatantly pushing the receiver when the ball is in the air makes it pretty clear there’s some sort of bias at work here.

Some on here that have really never played sports don’t understand how much some of those calls affect the the game. The two handed shove on Dez should’ve resulted in 6 points. Instead a deflating field goal. Opposing coaches likely know they can get away with this stuff at this point. No holds for however many quarters may encourage the other team to hold rather than risk giving up a game changing play.

The vast majority of the Cowboys fans have had enough of Garrett. It's a combination of things (Zeke, Jerry etc.) but I believe there are an awful lot of fans that have come to the realization that a Garrett led team is not capable of winning it all. I could be wrong but I never am.

I read some comments on some other forums where people said they wouldn't watch another Cowboys game until Zeke comes back.
