The way this season is going we'll have more guys going on IR to open spots for guys returning.

I really like this method of IR. It makes far more sense than having to either count players out for the rest of the season or have them continue to take up a roster spot when you know they are going to have to miss two, three, four games.

I know the idea behind IR the regular way is to keep teams from stashing players, but that should be handled differently than handcuffing a team that suffers a bunch of injuries. This allows you to replenish while trying to get back to full strength. Teams can be more competitive if they don't have to sit good players for the rest of the season because of poorly devised system.
