Even when they held the 49-ers to under 20 points in 2023 and the offense once again went comatose?
They had a better defense than us. At least we made it to the playoffs. What happened with Cooper Rush?

Dak is not the problem, the front office is run by people who either dont know what their doing/dont want to do anything

My biggest worry with Dak next season is will he be able to scramble and run. Running quarterbacks kill you. I can't think of any playoff team that doesn't have a quarter back faster and more mobile then Dak. IMHO...Dak needs to lose a good ten pounds. And hire a trainer that really knows how to stretch you out. he also needs to get rid of that jump pass while moving backwards. Obviously, his ligaments can not handle the movement when he does it. I'm a Dallas fan FIRST!! If I could move on from Dak. I would. But since idiot signed him for 60 million. I'm stuck with him and thus can only hope he gets better. Same with idiot Jones. If you think he's able to build a good team?? Dream on...Our only hope is talent and a good coach who can persuade Jones to help him out. I have all the faith in the team if they can get a better coach and assistance coaches. You can't count on the front office at all. Thus our weakest link.

It's hard telling a drunk not to drive. When the drunk doesn't believe he's drunk.....Jerry believes he's a great GM...30 years of watching Dallas proves otherwise. But in his bizarro world... He's top gun.....

Ah I see. So the offense consistently plays like crap and that's because "they had a better defense", but the defense being banged up gets no excuses. Got it.

I’m talking about one game, San Francisco. They were just better than us. Didn’t they make it to the Super Bowl that season? I find hypocrisy unbelievable. You hate Prescott OK so what , he’s not the reason the team sucks.

Jerry caved in when he should of stayed strong. Darnold- Geno-rookies-and I'd say even Goff have been paid less and gone to other teams and made them competitive. That's all Dallas needed to do. Guys are arguing should Dak had taken less? Give him less for what? The same results???? What Jerry should of done was to just say no Then throw this season a way as he did any how. Then gone out to get Darnold or another free agent for 2025 and used the balance to build the defense to a top defensive level. Wasn't astrophysics here. Or Jerry could have just signed Dak a year earlier and got him for 40 or lower. But he didn't. Maybe Jerry is just the gift that keeps on giving. Players know in the end he will cave.

So nothing we can do now but move forward. My plan would be draft at 1 DE. 2. DT. 3. RB. 4. safety. 5. O-Lineman 6. Tight end. 7th best player left. McCarthy gone. I'd hire a great defensive HC and get him a great OC. It's not that hard if you just stick to a plan. Jerry is lying to all the Dallas Cowboy fanbase. Even with Dak's contract. Dallas will be near 70 million or better in cap money next season. Go out there and check for yourselves instead of listening to the two liars. I don't even believe Jerry wants to win anymore. For whatever reason. But Dallas can easily be back in the playoffs next season if they get a solid plan. Problem is moving forward. No one in this organization knows what a plan is. We get healthy we have the talent to win the East. But you have to have somebody with a plan.
P.S. might have some extra comp picks, so I'd use those for wideouts-Oline men or another defensive spot. Not to mention what could be done in free agency. So, I'm not sweating if we can get back to the top. We only need someone with a vision....
Have you really watch Cooper Rush play? Do you remember the QB position from 2001-2016 poor, below average to average and leaderless.

Dak record vs. NFC East and when winning% given a talent supporting cast is top 2-5 in the NFC and Top 10 overall.

It was a horrible decision made by two people given the jobs they’re not qualified for.

And the Joneses should be getting roasted every day for it. They deserve it.

Given the where, when, and why, the deal made absolutely zero sense.

It looked bad at the time, looked worse when Dak wasn’t playing up to it, and looks ridiculous after he was injured.

Ownership should be roasted over this deal. One of if not the worst in team history.

I 100% agree with you. But, Jerry Jones felt he could not wait. Apparently he felt $60 million per season, four years, $231 million guaranteed was less of a risk than losing Dak as the team’s quarterback. Hindsight is always 20/20. Jerry made the mistake. Dak didn’t. Fans’ vitriol for Dak and his agent is misplaced. They both did what they were supposed to do.

If Jerry Jones took his responsibilities as GM of the Dallas Cowboys as seriously and effectively as Todd France takes his responsibilities as a player agent the Cowboys would not be in the predicament they find themselves.

Dak’s the one rehabbing from an on field injury that required surgery. Jerry’s downing Johnnie Walker Blue and yukking it up with Eagles fans yesterday. Look hard at that.
Let me be really clear…I blame Jerry and Nepo Boy for EVERYTHING that hurts this franchise. I have no problem with Dak. Good man. Decent QB. Not a difference maker. If Jerry was dumb enough to do it Dak had to take it.

Dak isn't the answer. And Rush isn't even in the conversation
