I untended it’s by committeeWM puts it together, the evaluation is there.
Jerry and SJ pull the trigger.
I know that may have been the most bizarre comment I've seen on here, and that is obviously saying something.OMG, drafting has nothing to do w/ playoff victories? You have got to be day drinking. There's simply no other explanation for being so far off in your thinking. I mean, this is like saying smoking has nothing to do w/ lung cancer and emphysema.
none can actually just leave a post positive they always come in and urinate on the positive stuff with 3 pages of BUT and followed by negativity..
place is toxic most days, nothing can stay positive for minute, always the naysayer troll to come pounce all over it.
what theres not enough negative open pages on the front main page you have to come in a destroy the very little positive ones..place is shameful; you all call yourselves fans but won't say a positive word about the team you are allegedly a fan of..smh.
this doesn't take into account 2021 draft one of our top drafts in along time. most of the main page full of negative offseason posts knowing how solid of drafts we have had and the draft hasnt even come yet, this is why some of us come in and clap back hard.

Nice article breaking down how Dallas has done drafting from 2010 to 2019 verses the rest of the NFL, not just in a vacuum.
Dallas was 8th in draft return during that period, but did it with the 4th least draft capital.
Dallas has gotten a good start in the next decade by drafting Lamb(6th best in class) and Parsons(best in class) the last two drafts.
Another interesting point is that Dallas is the 8th winningest team in the NFL during this same time frame. But Dallas has nothing to show in the post season with all this draft success and wins. That's what everyone remembers and the teams draft success and being a winning team is forgotten.
Many believe Dallas is the worst run organization in the NFL, but if that is the case, the vast MAJORITY of teams in the NFL are poorly run.
I don't know if I agree with this assessment.
While it's true that the Cowboys have one of the highest numbers of Pro Bowlers and All Pros drafted, the entire total of games played by all drafted is in the lower third of the league.
Games Played means they participated in a game at some point whether it was starting, coming in for a series or special teams only. I believe this number is just as important as the number of elite players because it shows that even lower draft picks had some impact.
For example, The Cowboys draft over the past ten seasons has resulted in 9 1`st team All Pro selections, 26 Pro Bowl selections, 121 starting seasons and 3387 games played. The Seahawks have 8 1st team All Pros, 24 pro Bowls, 112 starting seasons but 3613 games played. They are just behind the Cowboys in three categories but way ahead in the 4th.
Which would be a better draft?
A team with a draft pick that makes it to the Pro Bowl plus a good backup that started a few games and two special teams players.
A team that drafts two starters who play solid, two more that are backups that started a few games and three special teams players.
I'm not saying unequivocally, that the second team had a better draft. That depends on other circumstances, like position, but you do have to pause and think.
A couple months ago I was looking at the last four drafts and I came up with a formula that gives points based on Pro Bowls, Starts, and Games Played in conjunction with their final record. After all, is it a really good thing if you play a lot of your draft picks but have lousy records?
I believe I used a weighted percent of 50% team record ranked against the rest of the league, 10% Pro Bowls, 10% All Pros, 20% Starts, and 10% Games Played. I believe the Cowboys ranked somewhere around 14th. I'll have to go back and check.

When you're talking in terms of NFC title game appearances of late, they absolutely keep the same company of those two.Dallas drafts well. Will McClay excels at his job. He’s literally the only thing preventing the organization from being mentioned in the same breath with Detroit and Washington.
Good points, however, being 'poorly run' or 'well run' is a broad category.https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/202...t-drafting-teams-why-another-star-pick-awaits

All that great drafting with no results, this article isn’t worth the space it takes up. Some try to sell mediocre as great this is one of them. Wonder how much Jerry funds these clowns.
We are so freaking great. The Jones boys should get drunk and hire a bunch of half naked young girls to pat them on the back.

They are not the worst run organization, but they are one of the worst at translating their overall efforts to advancing to a meaningful level in the post season.
Years and teams without an appearance in at least a Conference Championship Game:
30 Washington Commanders
30 Detroit Lions
29 Cleveland Browns
29 Miami Dolphins
26 Dallas Cowboys
