The Cowboys did not make a move before today’s NFL trade deadline. Most notable moves made by NFC playoff contenders: Eagles added S Kevin Byard, Seahawks added DL Leonard Williams, 49ers added DE Chase Young.

In a little over a year, Dallas has made five trades to acquire veteran players. They are the only five players on the Cowboys’ current roster that have been acquired via trade:

the Lance trade has had the most impact so far……without him, we’d have lost the Niners game and Cooks 16 catches puts him on pace for something like 48 or some other high number

The most that cost us was a fourth for a QB that the 49ers gave up on. We trade cheap. We spend cheap. This is the way.
