Crack_Attack_09 or Dak_Attack_09?

J.J Nelson caught 4 receptions for 36 yards all of last year with that apparent 4.2 speed and factual 5'10" 160 lb frame at 28 years of age. To boot you claim he is taking the top off of NFL offenses with his 2019, 9.0 yards per reception average?

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/N/NelsJJ00.htm

You want us to trade a 24 year old WR who in 2019 started 12 games, still caught 66 receptions for 1,107 yards with a 16.8 yards per reception average for a WR like J.J Nelson? 6'1, 198 lb and has not even had 3 seasons in this league but has those numbers?

You must just be trying to get reactions out of people with a thread like this. We had Tavon Austin here last year who easily surpassed what J.J Nelson did last year and fits that speed profile that you apparently so covet. Gallup took the top off the defense much more than both of those guys. He can get off the line to begin with where those guys half the time cannot in any form of press coverage and that's why they have not had success in this league.

This is laughable.

Dallas has accumulated too many WRs that are lesser clone of each other and really do not compliment the players on the roster fully.

This offense needs true speed and right now just about every team has WRs that runS 4.4 NFL WRs. Dallas should acquire someone like J.J Nelson 4.2 forty time that can blow the top off defense consistently.

Another option is to trade Gallup who really is a #3 with CD in the building and the front office shouldn’t overpay for a consistent ball dropping #3 receiver.

You do realize that Amari is a sub 4.4 guy, right?

Gallup is a bargain right now and he seems to get a little better each year. I think for Dak its more important to have a route runner that gets open within 10 to 15 yards.

So what happened to those 8 away game or when he faced a top CB like Gilmore & Lattimore?
There isn't a single WR in the league that isn't shutdown at some point and Cooper was playing with an injured foot and ankle most of last year (yeah I'm not a fan of that injury history either). Gilmore and Lattimore shut down most wr's.

There is speed and there is precision.

The Cowboys have had the best of both. They had the fastest man in the world, Olympic record breaker Bob Hayes. They have had a WR that brought a tape measure to practice and made his cuts like a surgeon, Drew Pearson.

Both have their positives but I think the greatest positive would be ability to catch the ball in small windows and catch them consistantly.

Speed, great route running.......entirely irrelevant if you drop balls.

Excellent hands and ability to consistantly catch, particularly the ones that decide games.... That trumps speed every time.

Let's keep count here. So far, Dak_Attack wants to get rid of C. Williams and Gallup from our #1 offense. If it ain't broke, let's break it.

It’s not how fast you run at the combine or your pro day. It’s how fast you run with pads on, in a game situation..

They are top CB because they can cover better than anyone else and look at who had the best games against them
Hint, it wasn’t speed receivers
You do recall he was injured right?
Look at the top receivers over several years and see how many are the fastest in the league

I think Bill Belichick gets rid of a guy a year early with some value in return instead of overpaying a player.

Hail Mary football. That’s for Kansas City is. Nope I’ll take methodical move the ball down the field consistently
