We could fit 2 of him............ but the LAR needs to play ball and that is 10000000 to 1
Maybe not LAR, but I bet the Jets would.
McCoy would look great with a Star on his helmet.

We replaced a veteran franchise quarterback with a 4th-round rookie contract franchise quarterback and Romo's release freed up $14 million this year, so really only $2 without him so not like the Cowboys are necessarily smarter yet :)
and looking at our own FA's coming up - hopefully we can pay the ones we want to keep to be sure.

Witten was extended, thus reducing his 2017 cap charge.
Witten didn't actually restructure this year.... he made it possible if necessary by adding a couple years but never pulled the trigger..... he still has a 12.2m cap number

Sign Haden,

Oh stuff it all you "he'll be a progress stopper" ninnies. He's a much better corner than the guy we will start at CB - Carroll.
Hayden costs around 11m the next two years and isn't 100%........ that is tough call

Heath hasn't shown the promise of last year and SS scares me most.......again

Using both draft picks and big cap space on the same player generally not a good idea.

How much of his holdout is money and how much is a protest of scheme change?
The cost is high but so is the impact....... DAL won't draft a Donald type in the next 5 years in the 20s+

That is 16m heading into last cuts so that could even go up........ but Hanna, Morris and Wilber all look safe as they should be

DAL didn't even restructure Dez, TCrawford or Witten...... that is another 18m...... leaving them 34m in easy cap space

This was unthinkable a couple seasons ago but the cap rose 45m the last 4 years..... this is even after eating Romo's 11m dead hit this year...... the promotion of Will McClay looks to be the main spark that led to much better drafts....... 10 more draft picks next year

Next year's draft could be epic

It still will not be used on big contract FA's. However it can be used over the next 3 years effectively. Martin, Dak, in 3 to 4 years, possibly Zeke. Yes way down the road, but must be factored in.

Still have a few defensive players to see about, IF they live up to expectations. Irving for one, M. Collins in a few more years.
