We had what it took last week now we don’t lol.
It didnt look that way last week and the week before. It didnt look like that the whole season.

It looked like we are a good team that has defencies. The same we had last year: Stopping the run and generating a reliable offensive attack against better defenses.

How would someone even consider that to change from last year ? We didnt change QB nor did we do anything for our DT position. In fact we got lighter up the middle. We are building on tweeners at the LB position, have only pass rushers atthe DL, drafted mazi who got lighter during training camp. The only one who is a true run stopper from a mental approach is Hankins who is now hurt.

Those problems had to be monitored during this season. And you never had one sign that those problems were solved. In fact Arizona was the first prove that the problems still existed. Then the 49ers games that showed them to the fullest.

Please dont believe all that media rubbish. All those rankings and thoses stupid polls here on this forum. People are changing their minds every day. They are not the ones to be taken serious. This is all for your entertainement.

Try to understand the fundamental things.

Why do yall keep bringing up the media? Nobody uses the media to dictate how good or bad this team is lol. This is a good team. They have some good wins and some bad losses and they have just as good of a shot as anyone to win. I’m not here to convince anyone of that. It shouldn’t evident to anyone with eyes.

Yeah, I feel ya on this one. I'm sure someone smarter than us is connecting the dots as to why the sporadic ***-kicking (not just your basic loss) is taking place.

The obvious is other teams are playing bully-ball and are getting ahead of our preferred front-running position. But beyond that, are there common schemes they're running on the back end (we can't see on TV) that are stifling our passing game? Legit asking, cuz I don't know. I mean, our QB doesn't all the sudden NOT know how to throw a football. Hopefully MM and DQ can put together a few band aids to stop the bleeding, and place our guys in better positions to get things done.

Does our team have what it takes? Maybe not unless the coaches are willing to make sizeable in game adjustments prior to just watching things get sideways.

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to leave the perimeter guys on an island to sell out on the run (of course the Dolphins are the worst team to employ this against) cuz we're just terrible when we decide to bleed out slow and I'll welcome a shootouts at this point. Offensively, I think there's a blueprint on how to slow down the offense and I think the ball is back in MM's court to counter what the D is doing. If ain't workin' we need a plan "B".

I state what I state based on believing the team hasn't just flat out given up early in games. If they have, then we got bigger problems than X's and O's.

You are so bitter these days...
I love it!!
I'm just sick of so-called fans who trash the Cowboys after having a bad game when the previous 5 games were all wins. This is still a good team with everything to play for but some fans can't seem to stay faith and understand you're not going to win them all. Bad games happen. The Cowboys will prove the nay-sayers wrong about not being able to win on the road against a good team by beating the Dolphins.

This defense is still kind of "bend-but-don't-break". If this defense isn't getting turnovers or sacks, then they're not all that effective in most games. And you can only really get sacks if you can slow down the run enough to force a 3rd and long, and in many Cowboys games, they don't do that too often...because they can't stop the run. Quinn rarely brings any real pressure in the 1st quarter, and not even much in the first half. It's all safer defenses early on, making sure they keep everything in front of them...very little press coverage until they get to a 3rd down, and in some games, there's simply not enough 3rd downs.

So then it forces Dak and the offense to try to score early and often, so that the opposing team runs less. But if the Cowboys offense is slow out of the gate, and the defense doesn't simply hold the other team to FGs early on, then the Cowboys just seem to get behind and can't catch up. The defense's strengths are minimized right away if the Cowboys don't get a lead.

It's a conundrum, especially for Quinn. I think Quinn is going to have to get more aggressive early in the game, more 9 and 10 in the box to start the game...a COMMITMENT to stopping the run right away, even if it means giving up a big passing play early. The Cowboys Dee needs to set the tone on the first drive, not just play back and play "bend-but-don't-break", and hope for FGs. If we have good CBs, we're going to have to trust them early in the game so that everyone else can be around the LOS plugging up run gaps.

We'll see what they do against Miami, but the first few drives will tell us a lot.
Yeah but what happened in the Seahawks game as much as I agree with most of what you said Cowboys were scoring early and often on offense and the defense still couldn't stop anybody until the last drive of the game or whatnot they literally have big issues on defense that people keep trying to sweep under the rug these are like rod marinelli's defenses and if you don't get a turnover if you don't get that timely sack they are not standing up and stopping teams straight up on defense they have it all year if if the offense has anything the defense has been really the biggest issue on all four losses...

Something will need to change and maybe it will maybe they're holding back something I mean they did at least stay in the game the last two San Francisco losses in the playoffs there were only one score but still it's more of the same though there were some drives where they got walked down the field they missed some opportunities not getting the interception not breaking up the play to kittles there were too many penalties in 2021 I mean if people been giving this side of the ball passes if this was some kind of strength and Parsons is defensive player of the year and digs and bland or so opportunistic and then it just blamed the offense for not scoring more in these games and I'm telling you it starts with the defense I'm just off the top of my head I bet there's eight games this year I remember where we got scored on in the first drive and there's at least four or five where we gave up a score right out of halftime this is a defensive coordinator issue Mr. Dan Quinn needs to do something....

I hear what you’re saying I’m not giving up on the Cowboys. I’m just saying they don’t have what it takes to win the Super Bowl this year. In my opinion I think they will go into the playoffs and I think that they will make some noise but I think that when it comes down to Super Bowl, we’re still a few pieces away.
Good because I feel the same way as you. Gotta have hope for this season but we do know the flaws that need addressed in the off season. But will they finally fix those? We shall see. Go Cowboys!

I can only speak for myself and i am bringing up the media because most arguments here sound like those of them. You know empty phrases and so on: "Anyone with eyes...". Its another way to say: i have no clue and i am way to lazy to delve deeper into the subjects matter.

Nothing with substance or information that is worth spending time to read.

Good, don't...no, don't....really, don't.

Go Cowboys. Knock their two running backs out and make it into a game of a balanced Dallas offense.

Where was the MVP? I kept looking for him but couldn't find him.
I saw him once but the play call came in late and he chucked it into the RB basket. Then I saw him a couple more times patting the ball and holding onto it long enough to eat a hoagie before he threw it
