Dallas Mavericks

Not so much anymore. They really need to step it up.

That was an impressive win for the Mavs. No Butler. No problem.

They could give the Lakers some fits. They match their length very well.

If we get Dampier and Tim Thomas back for the playoffs then watchout.

Our weakness is backup PG though.

I can't believe they pulled that win off tonight against Atlanta.

Jason Kidd was nothing short of amazing.

If the guy keeps it up he may finish as a MVP canidate.

Lebrons pretty much got it sewed up though.

19 pts, 17 asssits, 16 rebounds for Kidd....those are crazy stats.

6 in a row for the Mavs...and 5 of the 6 vs playoff teams (2 division leaders + 2 in second place)
Wins vs:

Phoenix
at Orlando
Miami
Indy
LA Lakers
at Atlanta

Lookin' strong right now (2/27/10)....they seem much more mentally and physically tough.

lol at Dampier and Thomas.

Talk about JAGS

Those guys wont see the light of day come playoff time. Their rotation is already stacked.

lol...harsh
I'm sure Damp will get at least 10 minutes/game in the playoffs. Haywood will need rest and Damp is ok against certain teams.

My thing with the Mavs they play well during regular season, then come playoffs they either lose focus or momentum. I don't get it. It doesn't matter who is on the team. It seems to be a pattern every year.

I hope this year is different, time will tell.

Haven't they only not gotten past the 1st round once in the last 8-9 years?
And didn't they just go all the way to the finals 3 years ago? I know the last two years they faded, but they still eliminated San Antonio last year and normally they do fairly well in the playoffs, just not "championship well".

Damp will battle and get his rebounds.

We upgraded bigtime with Haywood but you can't ask for a better backup than Dampier. Another big body 7 footer.

Hes still a quality NBA center defensively.

They took Denver to 6 games last year and it took some ref screwage to even end it at 6.

I just hope that David Stern will allow these officials to call the games evenly and understand that a little bit of parity is good for Basketball but I am sure he is set on having LA vs Cleveland/Boston and it will show up on the court with how the refs officiate.

My biggest beef with the NBA is they blatantly screw teams.

The D Wade touch fouls and the Stackhouse ejection in the Finals are things I can never forget. The refs and league hosed the Mavs bad and then the Mavs didn't help themselves after all was said and done.

It was so bad that I wish the government would've got involved and done something to get Sterns attention.

Tim Donaghy admitted that the refs purposely screwed Dallas too.

That title would've meant a lot more to our franchise than it would've to Miami and Dirk earned that title to validate his career.

Just imagine his perception had he got the world championship that got taken away from him?

They lost to Denver in 5 games and the refs didn't screw them Denver was by far the better team.
