Dallas Mavericks

Mavs fans always think their team gets screwed by the refs.

Denver was better and the refs did screw the Mavericks still.

Denver should've won it all last year.

Because we do. They cost us a championship and everyone knows it.

Hey if anyone wants to see what the NBAs hottest team looks like turn it to ESPN.

23/3 AST/TO ratio is unreal for the first half, wow.

Looks like theyll be winning my bet for me tonight. :)

Hottest team in the NBA at the end of February. Right where every team in the NBA wants to be.

Hey we will only get better as the season goes on.

This team has had 1 sanctioned practice since the trade was made. Plus we get a couple of big men back to our bench down the stretch.

Mavs have nothing but upside for the long run.

Tim Leggler called us clearly the 2nd best team in the West last night and thinks we have a shot at LA.

Jason Kidd knocking down 3's like its nothing these days has really put us over the top.

They look like they enjoy playing together...winning does that, but it's even more than that.
Nice to see Butler settle in.

Its also nice to see a team that is completely unselfish. Thats 1 thing i've always enjoyed about Mavs basketball.

Dirk is a top 5 player in the league and easily the most unselfish. It probably hurts Dallas at times that he is so unselfish because the guy is unguardable.

Dirk needed some help and I think he now has it. It's really hard to double (or triple) the guy now...like teams seem to do every year in the playoffs.

This could be fun.

7 in a row and counting, but they'll be tired on the road in an early game tonight.

Gotta love ESPNs scheduling.

Hit us with a 8:30 home game then a 6:30 roady game back to back.

Every NBA team has that scheduled throughout the season. It's going to be Den vs Dal to make it to the western conference finals most likely. I think they end up the #2 and #3 seeds in the west.

lol at Dampier and Thomas.

Talk about JAGS

Those guys wont see the light of day come playoff time. Their rotation is already stacked.

You're out of your mind. Damp will certainly see a good 10-15 minutes a night in the playoffs. You can play Haywood 40 minutes every night for half a season and the playoffs. Thomas is only a body and maybe somebody to try and create a mismatch on certain plays but Damp is definitely a part of the rotation for the rest of the season. Najera is one who will have a tough time getting minutes but imo he's definitely earned at least a few with his hustle and playmaking.

As for backup PG, well, you get the best 5 minutes you can out of JJ or Beaubois (does this guy have an easy to spell nickname?) and then ride the hell out of Kidd and hope he can make it through. He's proven somewhat that he's tough and can handle obscene minutes.

Robo is what I've seen.

As far as Dallas schedule goes - they could potentially run this streak to 20 + games.

Next month:

March 3rd - Minny
March 5th - Sactown
March 6th - @Chi City
March 8th - @Minny
March 10th - New Joysey
March 13th - Knickerbockers
March 17th - Chi City
March 20th - Celts
March 22nd - @Naw Lens
March 23rd - Clips
March 25th - @Jail Blazers
March 27th - @GState
March 29th - Thuggets
March 31st - @Grizz

:laugh2: That would be sweet, but I would actually bet a couple grand against it. That is very hard to do in today's NBA.

Nevertheless, 8 and counting works for me!

15 is more reasonable but still not likely.

But this team does get better every night.

Caron Butler gives us what Stackhouse used to give us on his best night ever night.

We have more scoring and we can D up now with this lineup.

You gotta love the Mavs chances at winning it this year.

Thank you Gilbert.

This is when I'm very glad I kept my season tickets.

LA and Denver are big obstacles, but it now at least seems possible. The crowds are starting to become electric again...it's been awhile.

Plus, doing this without a 2nd big (Damp) and Butler missing time as well.

The ball movement the 1st half in the NO game was AMAZING! Now the 2nd half was a different story..... but still - a joy to watch!
