Dropping the 3-4 defense saved the Chargers season. This would also mean firing Wade. That might save our season next year.

I wish so bad.I want Campo as dc and Shanny as coach.Campo was a good DC.we had a top 10 defense every year he was dc.

they were still playing the 3-4. they were in nickel a good amount of the game cause the pats base formation on O is 3-wide

We dont stay in the 3-4...we play some 4-6 as well...Wade does a nice job of mixing things up. He may not be the greatest HC, but he is an excellent D Coordinator

they still play a 3-4 defense, they just got rid of their washed up coordinator

The problem with our D this year was that with all the sacks we created, we never created the turnovers you would think you would get with all that pressure....and we really had a problem down the stretch with stopping the run when we needed to get off the field. Though I prefer the 4-3
to the 3-4 as we have never had that stud NT to run the 3-4.

honestly I didnt see any major issues stopping the run, the issue was bad tackling...

did you watch the tackling and hitting in these 2 playoff games today? we don't tackle and hit like that. maybe we should start doing some in practice once in a while.

yep...

good tackling is the product of good coaching...hell our 89-90 teams tackled better than this mess, and we didnt have anywhere near the defensive talent this team had

I think you are correct on that.

im hoping thats some of the "changes" weve been hearing about

We have too much invested in the 3-4, I love the way our Defense is learning and getting better at this scheme. Very bad idea.

At minimum, it would be two seasons to get a 4-3 defense back up to speed. Our offense sputtered this season, but not enough so that it can't be fixed. So do we majorly tinker with 1/3 of our team and hope that we can win in the interim with our offense or stand pat by making minor adjustments to our 3-4 defense?

Our current defense did play very well for almost 1/2 of this season. We could improve on that and not have to backpedal on getting the defensive "problem" fixed.

It's not the scheme that causes our defense to wilt at the worst times. It's our players.

How about finding players that like to play football? that might help this cowardly group of Cowboys find a heartbeat. 3-4, 4-3 we need football players on this football team.

hold up, let me get this stright, we had 60 sacks and you people are complaining... ***
