Dallas offense has to be better this week

The Dallas offense has to score 1 more point than the Dallas defense gives up.

That's it.

As obvious as this is its not a strategy that is sustainable.

Our critical thinking caps shouldn't go in the closet just because it is Cooper Rush and not Dak Prescott.

This team regardless of who the starting QB is needs to operate with some form of contingency and have the proven ability to score at least the average in points for the league, but preferably a bit more.

The league average over the past two year has been 23-24 points. We are close, but it would be nice to see this offence at least average 24+ on a consistent basis.

Right now I don't have a problem having Rush lead this team to a last second for the win FG.

I'm not too certain how many last second for the win TDs he has in his arm when everyone in the stadium knows he has to pass to win the game.

Therefore having an offence that can get up by a couple of scores is going to put our defence in a better spot to drive the coffin nails into opponents.

I may be in the minority, but I like what the offense has done, and I'm not panicking about needing more points when they won games comfortably. Also, I don't fear what the Eagles can do, so I don't feel the Cowboys need to do something more to match them.

I love that the offense stays on schedule, hence the bus driver label for Rush, and that's good offense to me...wear the defense down then hit em with a big play if they start to get over aggressive. Stay true to who they are on offense and they should be ok.

Great take.
You should copy and paste this post in pretty much every thread as a reminder to the stats over wins crowd.

I only worry about coming up against a team and you go down by 2 scores and you're up against it.
Whether it be by their offense defeating our defense, or some TO.
Doesn't matter, you're down by 2 scores.

Does this O have the firepower to get back up and win?

It's a worry.

Don't know how that scenario would ultimately play itself out.
I'm more comfortable playing the current, more conservative style of ball than past versions.

Just a personal preference.

I savvy.
Still... it's a worry and should be considered.
