The Dallas offense has to score 1 more point than the Dallas defense gives up.
That's it.
As obvious as this is its not a strategy that is sustainable.
Our critical thinking caps shouldn't go in the closet just because it is Cooper Rush and not Dak Prescott.
This team regardless of who the starting QB is needs to operate with some form of contingency and have the proven ability to score at least the average in points for the league, but preferably a bit more.
The league average over the past two year has been 23-24 points. We are close, but it would be nice to see this offence at least average 24+ on a consistent basis.
Right now I don't have a problem having Rush lead this team to a last second for the win FG.
I'm not too certain how many last second for the win TDs he has in his arm when everyone in the stadium knows he has to pass to win the game.
Therefore having an offence that can get up by a couple of scores is going to put our defence in a better spot to drive the coffin nails into opponents.
