Not resigning:
1. Henry Melton - bone bruise may require microfracture surgery.
2. Rolando McClain - things got funny toward end even before concussion. Hitchens is your starter at MLB.
3. Doug Free - time to move on. Draft RT or FA. Not sold on Parnell also.
4. Anthony Spencer - gave us one good game against Lions...that was basically it.
5. George Selvie - gained weight during off season and didn't play with same fire.
6. Lance Dunbar - might be my biggest disappointment on offense this year.
7. Dwayne Harris - Fan of his but its time to move on to player with more speed.
8. Demarco Murray - difficult decision. This is contingent on Dallas drafting or bringing in RB who is good at picking up blitz. Defensive side needs his money. OL is already built for next RB.
9. Bruce Carter - I know he really came on at end but Dallas needs to rebuild DL so Carter and McClain are out (Lee, Hitchens, Durant are my LB starters in 2015).
10. Jeremy Parnell - when I watch him standing there on film I feel like I am looking at Hotel Adams but when play starts that comparisons ends quickly. Gets confused by blitzes and appears to have low football IQ.

Dallas should resign:
1. Ron Leary - big nasty guard who can pull has value in NFL. Was not mistake free but still young.
2. Cole Beasley - uncoverable on alot of plays. Is only going to get better.
3. Justin Durant - was co-MVP of defense before injury. Injury should lower asking price.
4. Sterling Moore - fierce competitor who should battle Claiborne to start (if we don't draft CB high).
5. Dez Bryant - just too freakish to let go. Franchise if price is unreasonable.

Dallas should release:
1. Mackenzy Bernadeau - $3 million for backup guard is just too much. That original contract was for him to be starter which he is not.
2. Brandon Carr - difficult decision as he had his best month as a cowboy. Still his price tag (almost $13 million for 2015) is outrageous. Doesn't create enough turnovers for steep price.

Restructuring:
1. Tony Romo
2. Tyron Smith

You can only fill so many holes each off season so the last thing you want to do is create more than you can fill. Overall I agree with your list but would consider keeping Free, Spencer and Carter.

Id rather keep Carter then Durant. Durant played well VS the run at WILL but was a liability in coverage and was rather poor at SAM when he played there in 2013. Wilber was a better SAM in 2013 then Durrant

Rolando McClain was not right last 3 to 4 games. I think he might some have stuff going off the field. Little shaky on this one, Agree with list 98.3%

I think you have to seriously consider keeping Free, Carter, and possibly Ro (Of course this is all depending on price for these folks) so as to not create a whole bunch more holes that need to be addressed when this team already needs to put significant resources toward our pass rush.

I also don't like the idea of letting Carter walk when he's finally starting to come on and relying on two of your three starting LBs to be guys (in Lee and Durant) who have not proven that they can stay healthy for a season.

I wonder about RoMac. I know what you mean about things getting "funny" with him later in the season. I just don't know how much his one and one half year layoff combined with various injuries had to do with that "funny". My thought is that those most in the know (coaches) will make the right decision on him. I would love to have him back if he could consistently play to the form that he did earlier in the season. I just don't know, but will trust in those who do.

I think Carter gets big contract by a team who was watching past few weeks. Dallas already has 2 starters under contract for next year and Durant can be signed for cheap.

I dont think he will. His play is too checkered and teams dont overpay 4-3 LBs like the do OL, pass rushers and DBs. Durant had over 100 tackles the year before we signed him and only got a small two year deal

Not resigning: MY RESPONSES IN BOLD
1. Henry Melton - bone bruise may require microfracture surgery. - TOTALLY agree - saves us 9 million
2. Rolando McClain - things got funny toward end even before concussion. Hitchens is your starter at MLB. - Agree but would be okay with deal that lets him compete for spot in training camp if he's willing to put in work in offseason
3. Doug Free - time to move on. Draft RT or FA. Not sold on Parnell also. - Only if you KNOW you can get an upgrade
4. Anthony Spencer - gave us one good game against Lions...that was basically it. - Same as McClain
5. George Selvie - gained weight during off season and didn't play with same fire. - Agree he's JAG
6. Lance Dunbar - might be my biggest disappointment on offense this year. - Unfortunately true but don't know if it's his fault or coaches not utilizing him.
7. Dwayne Harris - Fan of his but its time to move on to player with more speed. - NO!! He provides great ST value.
8. Demarco Murray - difficult decision. This is contingent on Dallas drafting or bringing in RB who is good at picking up blitz. Defensive side needs his money. OL is already built for next RB. - TOTALLY AGREE!! - Give me Melvin Gordon
9. Bruce Carter - I know he really came on at end but Dallas needs to rebuild DL so Carter and McClain are out (Lee, Hitchens, Durant are my LB starters in 2015). - DISGREE!! We don't have many LBs that we can count on and he's one who's proven he can in a nickel role ala Kevin Burnett.
10. Jeremy Parnell - when I watch him standing there on film I feel like I am looking at Hotel Adams but when play starts that comparisons ends quickly. Gets confused by blitzes and appears to have low football IQ. - Agree

Dallas should resign:
1. Ron Leary - big nasty guard who can pull has value in NFL. Was not mistake free but still young. - Agree but Dallas was looking for upgrade last offseason and thought they had trade to get LG in 3rd round.
2. Cole Beasley - uncoverable on alot of plays. Is only going to get better. - TOTALLY agree
3. Justin Durant - was co-MVP of defense before injury. Injury should lower asking price. - Agree but wouldn't be crushed if he's not.
4. Sterling Moore - fierce competitor who should battle Claiborne to start (if we don't draft CB high). - He's solid but not a game changer. If we can find better go for it.
5. Dez Bryant - just too freakish to let go. Franchise if price is unreasonable. - 100% agree

Dallas should release:
1. Mackenzy Bernadeau - $3 million for backup guard is just too much. That original contract was for him to be starter which he is not. - True but might be needed with health of Leary
2. Brandon Carr - difficult decision as he had his best month as a cowboy. Still his price tag (almost $13 million for 2015) is outrageous. Doesn't create enough turnovers for steep price. - Renogotiate and see what you can get.

Restructuring:
1. Tony Romo - Annual right of passage
2. Tyron Smith - Good Luck
3. Jason Witten - Usually does in offseason

Aside from 95% of this that I don't agree with..

Spence and Dunbar can go. As well as Lee for all I care.

I REALLLLLY want us to sign Buster Skrine this off-season. He is a scrappy CB with major speed. A mini Orlando Scandrick. He is familiar with Henderson from his Cle days. Instant upgrade at CB and won't cost a ton.

Sterling Moore was absolutely horrific today by the way. He was as bad as any CB we have had in years. I mean horrible.

After giving Lee a huge contract and putting him on IR all season, now you want to get rid of him? That makes no sense at all.

Tell ya what makes sense. Giving a huge contract to an injury prone player like Lee...

Here, we will do this.. Next season, if , by some odd reason, Lee doesn't or isn't playing. Everyone can sit around the fire made by Lee and Jerry can come down and just throw money on it.. WHOOPEEE!!! YEA!!!!..

I don't understand all the hate for McClain. He's obviously been battling injuries the entire second half of the season after not playing for two years. He's absolutely the type of guy you try to bring back on a team-friendly deal.

Same for Spencer.

Dunbar is a RFA, so why wouldn't you bring him back, especially after Murray likely walks?

Bernadeau is your only capable backup at all three interior spots on the OL and costs about $2M -- I could see the team wanting to go cheaper, but you'd also probably need two players to replace him. There are too many draft holes elsewhere. He probably sticks around for another season.

I don't see the team letting both Free and Parnell walk with no one to replace either with.

Other than that, sure.
