Dallas or Philadelphia

Since Philly seems to be this teams only competition. For this year, if the QB's were switched, what would each teams record be at this point?

No coaching changes, no player change, and the culture remains.

Would Philly still be rolling?
Would Dallas be in second place in the division?
Which QB would be in the MVP race?

This post has nothing to do with anyone's pro or anti fandom. Just want to hear your thoughts.

Switch QBs between Chicago and Philly and Fields becomes a good NFL QB...

The scheme has made Hurts but that scheme only works with that type of QB.

I don't think the question makes sense without the offensive coaches coming with Hurts.

How do you think Hurts would do in Dallas?
How about Dak in Philadelphia?

What Philly did was go from a traditional offensive scheme (that didn't work) to a run heavy RPO. They could do that because Hurts is a good running QB. They have a great OL and running game as a result. Their pass catchers are now excellent, so when defenses sell out to stop the run, the pass is wide open.

Philly could not do this with Dak. Jalen Hurts and the Cowboys would absolutely suck. No way we'd be 10-4. No way Philly has their record with Dak.

Take any of the 3 SF QB's, and the same thing can be applied. How would any of those 3 do on other teams.
Although I think Purdy comes back down to Earth a bit as the season goes along. It was showing a little in the Seattle game.

If Hurts and Dak were switched Dallas wins the division and Philly is fighting with the Giants and Commanders for 2nd place.

Hurts is simply the more talented player at this point.

Not so sure about being more talented, maybe he is, maybe not, but playing better and with a real OC, yes.

Jalen is playin great, but how good would be with a fairly significant step back at WR and worse pass pro?

I think it’d still be close but the Eagles just have a better roster with more talent so Id give them the edge in winning the division.

Hurts get's questioned for having good players around him.

Meanwhile Dak is top level despite having a HOF O-Line his entire career, a 2 time rushing champ for his RB, and playing with multiple 1st round WR talents in Dez, Cooper, and Ceedee.

Hurts is playing great while having a loaded team around him. Both can be true.

Dak is playing good on a good team but currently has an OL at the bottom of the barrel in pass pro win rate and a WR corp ranked outside the top 30 in separation.

The post is about the teams success. Philly is a better team with a more talented roster. I think they’d be better. I think team success has more to do with how good the overall team is. If you think Jalen is way better and he could elevate the roster…cool. I disagree.

Hurts is the beneficiary of the players around him and the system.

Quez Watkins if better than Noah Brown. Smith is better than Gallup. And AJ brown is as good as if not better than CeeDee Lamb. Goedert is better than Schultz. Lane Johnson is better than Steele. Kelce is way better than Biadasz. The only position where the Cowboys have an advantage on the OL is RG. Pollard is better than Sanders IMO.

Having said that, Hurts is playing better than Dak right now. He is not throwing interceptions and he is running for 1st downs and touch downs. Hurts has thrown 22 TDs with 5 INTs and 2 fumbles lost for 7 turnovers in 14 games. Dak has 11 INTs in 9 games. If you ask me who I would rather have as my QB right now, I would say Hurts, because he can run when our receivers aren't open.

But, I don't have the numbers for pressures and QB hits. Hurts has been sacked an incredible 35 times despite that offensive line. I had to look that up twice because I found it unbelievable. Dak has 12 sacks. Still the amount of pressure would be interesting to know since it effects a QBs efficiency.

This season should expose the importance of supporting casts. Tua and Hurts in one direction. Dak sadly a bit in the other direction

Hurts is reached a level I knew he was going too before that draft. I was mocked and laughed at for wanting to draft him in the 2nd round. He didn't make it to our 2nd pick so it's moot. The Cowboys still wouldn't have taken him anyway.

How confident are you that the Cowboys could beat the Commanders in DC?

The real NFC East rivalry is Dallas and Washington. Washington fans hate the Cowbosys with far more passion that the Eagles.

The Cowboys have a traditional offense. Hurts has shown that he is not good in that situation. Hurts is a product of his situation and players around him. Much like Lamar Jackson was in 2019. It's tough to repeat.

It’s kind of tough given both teams have different offensive systems.
