Maybe not expecting us to win, but thinking that it's a possibility. I don't think it will be even considered a possibility of San Fran plays KC closely, especially if the 49ers do that and barely lose because they will be seen as better than us and desperate.

It’s a week to week league in the NFL. You can’t rule out any team regardless how bad they are. Even if SF were to win big over KC there’s always the possibility the Cowboys could beat them. New Orleans looked like the best team in the league the first couple of games. They looked like a juggernaut and are currently riding a four game losing streak. The NFL is very unpredictable. The Cowboys are going to be real desperate against SF. This is pretty close to being a must win. McCarthy‘s job is hanging by a thread and so are some of the other coaches jobs. A few players could end up on the bench if we don’t start improving. I don’t see us beating SF, but it certainly wouldn’t shock me especially with the struggles they’ve had. Consistency hasn’t been on their side either this season.

I can't even imagine how many injuries the niners would have to suffer to give us a chance. This is a terrible matchup for us.
