We need a solid backup, I don't care if we get that in the draft or if we get that in free agency. We need a backup that isn't 40 years old and can complete a couple of passes.

Wouldn't make business sense but it would be competition at its greatest form. Cassell would be the starter day 1 if he came in.

Cassell won't look so good when he leaves New England. That team is very well run, and he won't have that kind of protection anywhere else. He also won't have Welker and Moss.
