I rather pay someone for DL. all the CBs in the world aren't going to help you if you don't have a DL that can pressure the opposing QB

Mississippi State produces some dawgs for the NFL and Slay is the perfect CB to fix this defense's biggest issue TURNOVERS!

He also ran 4.36 40 yard at the combine!

3 seasons ago he was the co-leader in picks but other than that he been a 2 or 3 pick guy. That's more than Jones but Slay is a starter and it's highly unlikely that the lions will give away a starter for a 2nd round pick. Not to mention that will prevent the Cowboys from getting more help on the defensive line. If Jones ends up walking then so be it the Cowboys will do something, but to waste a valuable draft pick a someone who had a single career year isn't the smartest plan. Please let the professional scouts do their jobs.

30 is prime, he still has 3-4 years left minimum.

This makes no sense. Not only do we have to give up a premium pick, mostly likely a plug and play starter, but we would have to resign Slay to an monster extension. I've heard Slay wants to be the highest paid corner in the entire league. Team wants to ultimately find a cheaper, better starting corner then Bryon.

Because first you're trying to compare the CB position to the QB position. In the order of importance there not even close. Second the ones that argue that Prescott isn't worth two 1st round picks do so because they aren't Prescott fans. There's two different ways to look at why Prescott would get two 1st round picks. Prescott is rated as the #1 free agent and I can't image that the #1 rated free agent if wasn't a free agent and being a starting QB wouldn't command two 1st round picks if he was traded for. The other is if the Cowboys were to use the non-exclusive franchise tag on Prescott the talking heads have listed several teams that would try to get Prescott to sign offers from them that if the Cowboys didn't match that offer the team would have to give up two 1st round picks.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if Dak would bring more than two 1sts on the open market. Just the value of the position.

If Dak were to hit the market, I think he's the best QB to hit the market since Brees.
