I wouldn't mind, they clearly want to upgrade on Weeden or at the very least get some competition for that spot.

He is a veteran backup and I am fine with him. Obviously he is not our future, but could be a fine backup in case of emergency.

I would rather sign Tebow than Shaun Hill. Shaun Hill is Brad Johnson 2.0. If Romo had to miss multiple games you can kiss the playoffs good bye with Shaun Hill behind center.

Wrong one. That was Austin Davis the guy they should go after. Hill sucks, not as bad as Weeden but still.

Well heck...there goes any little hope....Thanks for the Correction.

the trick is, are we looking 3rd string or 2nd? i honestly don't think either are on the active "must replace" list but backup QB certainly could use some love.

I would prefer Austin Davis also. One thing though is he was tendered so Rams would have right to match any contract without compensation.

Hill is thought to be by most teams to be one of the better backup QBs in the league.

Of course there are things to his game that sucks, that's why he's a career backup. But no, it's not an automatic loss with him in the game.
