You get what you pay for. Nothing against this guy personally but come on!!! When our DL is getting creased and we're wondering why LVE and Jaylon are 7 yards downfield routinely making tackles, this approach to signing DTs is why. I just don't get it.

And you can't even try to tell us you will fix it in the draft as this isn't really a strong draft for DTs. There isn't even one worthy of the 10th pick and only a small handful that are worthy of our 2nd pick.

Their lack of any desire to fix the DT position after it burns them year after year is easily the most frustrating part of this entire thing.

I get being out on Tomlinson. But when guys like Brown, Hankins, Thomas all go for cheap and this is what we get? It’s frustrating

The stats you quote for Watkins are career stats, not 2020 stats.

I watched Watkins alot when he played at Clemson. Very inconsistent took games off.

With that said, when he didnt take games off he was very noticeable on the field. Great motor and size. Was noticeable in the run and pass plays. Made impacts.

Bats alot of balls down due to height and long arms. Has a knack of doing so. Not a bad signing in my eyes. He's an upgrade on Tyrone Crawford and Antwain Woods. Good rotational piece.

Well if he tends to be lazy this is a perfect spot for him.

Dallas....the place to be paid well and praised like a champion for doing basically nothing.

Having a legit DL would drastically help the LBs and CBs. It fixes so much with this defense.

Yeah, that's not too bad. He's not the stud we need at 3-tech, but his numbers are better right now than any other DL we have on the roster.
