Best Tackler: OLB Cam Lawrence, Mississippi State (SR) 6-2 #240

Cam Lawrence doesn’t get the pub he deserves in Starkville, but this kid can really make some plays. He is the SEC’s leading returning tackler with 123 tackles, and he is a tremendous athlete. He’ll be key in MSU’s two young middle linebackers’ development and in overall leadership. I love the way this kid plays football.

Cameron Lawrence Mississippi State 2012 All-SEC Linebacker
Cameron Lawrence Mississippi State L/B #10, back to back 120+ tackles 2011-2012 in the SEC. Team Captain, ALL-SEC football&Academics.

jeff heath ‏@jheath_5 3h Thank you everyone for the love and support! So excited to be a Cowboy and start this new chapter! I love you all!!

Jeff Heath Saginaw Valley State, SS 6'1 209 4.48

"
Heath joins a group that includes Arizona State linebacker Brandon Magee, South Carolina State safety Jakar Hamilton and Akron quarterback Dalton Williams.
"I heard the process would be fast, but a lot of teams call players in like the sixth round to tell them if they don't get drafted they will sign them, but I didn't get one of those calls," Heath said. "I was freaking out, pacing, for a few minutes then I got the call and it was just a relief."
For Cowboys fans unfamiliar with Heath, Collins said the organization is bringing in a player who certainly has the potential to make the roster.
"I think Dallas recognized that Jeff is someone who wasn't even close to hitting his ceiling," Collins said. "He is passionate about the game of football, and willing to work all the time. He is a high character guy with an incredible work ethic with a lot of talent."
As a senior, Heath made the 2012 All-GLIAC First Team defense with 77 tackles and five interceptions."

What's the budget per position on the ninety man roster?

We have 10 D/NTs on our current roster? Not including Brent. That seems high. The number of DEs on the roster seems low. Which may mean we are bringing in LBs to convert to DE?

Ratliff
Hatcher
Lissemore
Maybe Crawford, but he may end up at DE behind Spencer.

Then there's:

Brian Price
Ben Bass
Rob Callaway
Nick Hayden
IKPONMWOSA IGBINOSUN
Monte Taylor

I wouldn't count on any of the guys in the bottom six to contribute too much unless someone else gets hurt.

I think Number 2 is a few letters short, but is the same guy as number 14.

I think Crawford will stay at tackle, and we need to pick up an FA rush end. Kyle Wilber will likely back up Spencer.

First team: Ware, Hatcher, Ratliff, Spencer

Second team: FA, Crawford, Lissemore, Wilber

Maybe Price forces us to keep a ninth guy, or pushes Crawford out to end.

Geez even after the draft we refuse to bring in Oline. Perhaps the lowest rushing total in franchise history and your 108 million dollar man taking hits like a pinata did not give them a tip that is is awful...

lol. try and relax. we used the r1 pick at ol and indications are we'll use our only free agent money on an RT.

if we were banking on udfa ol to help our rushing total in 2013 we shouldn't bother fielding a team.

If they use our FA money on Fisher or Clabo, I'll jump in the air.

If they use it on one of those two and Moore, I'll do cartwheels.

Well we went into the offseason with one NFL caliber lineman on the roster and now we have 2.... there is a long way to go and we just passed on about 30 that would have been upgrades at either Guard or the RT spot. I would relax, if i had faith in them fixing it. The Center was a nice start.
