You didn't listen carefully to what Jerry said. He said that one scout had him as high as the 3rd round but the club overall had him as a 6th.

Wow, the Boys are sure loading up on running backs...

Lance Dunbar is still my favorite, he's been a pet cat for a year now... over 4200 yards rushing, 49 TDs in just 41 games... gimme some of that production... he's short (5'8), but he's not small (he goes right at 210 pounds)... he's not blazing fast, but he'll run a sub-4.5 second 40... he can catch the ball, too...

who do you guys ACTUALLY thinks makes this team AND contributes in the next 2 seasons? Leary, Adams, Dunbar, Woolfolk?

I will put this out there about Woolfolk. He was a rising star at cornerback for Michigan and he blew out his ACL a couple years ago. He came back and they played him some at CB but also Safety. He intrigues me from the standpoint that his coverage skills might be solid enough to make it as a Safety. Granted, we drafted Johnson but he's no guarantee so......yeah, I think this kid could be stashed on the practice squad and develop.

Yes & no.

I think the Welker thing is a very valid.

But I also think they think that having at least one receiver that isn't in the typical "Cowboy mold" of at least 6'2/210 is a good thing.

Third round is obviously too high, but I do like the kid. I saw a few places that had him going in the fifth or sixth round. He is slow footed, so he will certainly move inside to Guard, but he has some skills that could be developed. Time for Callahan to earn that check!

I didn't hear it at all, I was going by what others said in the thread. I'm definitely thrilled to hear we didn't put a 3rd round grade on him, that'd be migraine inducing. They should fire the scout that gave him a 3rd, like yesterday.
