Yes I bow to the nameless fans (nepatriotsdraft.com and, in previous years, kffl) who compile all this stuff a few hours after the draft. How do they do it? A lot of work anyway you look at it.

Would you project that one offensive tacke will make the roster and one on the practice squad?

I would not. I would say that one may make either or but I would not project one each. It could easily happen and I could see that scenario playing out but I could not say that it will with any certainty.

Not only does Leary look mean and nasty but the other G Gunn looks massive from Miami. I hope at least one will provide us with a player.

I can't answer that, but I'll hazard a guess as to which UDRFAs make a serious bid for either a roster spot or a place on the practice squad:

OL-- Ron Leary, Jeff Adams, Levy Adcock...

RB-- Lance Dunbar

WR-- Tim Benford, Saalim Hakim, Cole Beasley

OLB-- Adrian Hamilton, Aston Whiteside

DB-- Eddie Whitley, Troy Woolfolk, Lionel Smith, Oscar Madison

TE-- either George Bryan or Andrew Szczerba, not both...

Figure two of those OL will stick, the RB, 2 of the WRs, both of the OLBs, 3 of the DBs and the TE... that would make 11 undrafted rookie free agents on either the 53 man roster or the practice squad... so figure 3 or 4 make the 53 man roster...

Hmmm, I dunno, that still sounds a little high to me... but that's my best guess as I'm in the grip of post-draft optimism...

I'm surprised Lionel Smith went undrafted. He's not gonna be a star or anything, but he was a great special teams player his first two years at A&M and played the role of nickelback pretty well over the last two. He was a track star in HS and has ridiculous straight-line speed. I wouldn't be shocked if he slipped in as the last corner to make the roster.

If we keep just five (and assuming Jenkins is one of them), he'll be fighting with the other UDFAs and essentially Mario Butler for the final spot.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us go 5 and 5 in the secondary this year, with the safeties being Sensabaugh, Pool, Church, Johnson and either McCray, Whitley or Woolfolk.

He looks more like a G than T to me though.

Adams, I believe we'll stash on the PS and he'll be a good player in a few years

Cowboys consider OL Ron Leary their "8th draft pick"
The Dallas Cowboys announced today that they have signed 21 undrafted rookie free agents. The official list of signings differs in one point from the list we had published earlier: QB Nathan Dick does not appear to be one of the UDFA signings after all. Instead he'll be among 10-15 players having an extra tryout during rookie minicamp.

Looks like a couple of mistakes make up the difference. Kemp is down twice, and it appears WR Cole Beasley is also listed as WR George Beasley.
