Dallas v Philly 2

Everything has led up to this. We have played well enough to put ourselves into contention for the playoffs— but this is the game we have to have.
We are at home, rested, healthier, and on a big win streak. Philly is desperate, proud, and doing anything they can to get back into the fight.
The Philly offense is really built around two things: Zach Ertz and an excellent screen game.
They sprinkle in some throws to Tate and use Jefferey as a possession WR and red zone threat— but their bread and butter is Ertz and screens.
Ertz killed us last game. Can we stop him? Can we get consistent pressure on Wentz? The Philly offense is not NO— but they are dangerous when they are clicking. We must match their intensity for 60 mins and continue covering and tackling the way we have been to win this one.
Looking at their defense...Their front 7 is really good. We are giving up a bunch of sacks. Their weakness is their secondary— but if they bring heavy pressure— will Dak get rid of the ball fast enough to hurt them?
Can we get enough push to give Zeke consistent space to operate? They will be very aggressive— and we have to have great playcalling in order to use that aggressiveness against them.
A contender wins this game. Somehow, some way— we must find the will to win this one and end the Eagles season.
Their tears will be so sweet
This is going to be the Eagles Super Bowl for the 2018 season. Though it shouldn't matter to them I think the idea that the Commanders are toast will boost their excitement a bit more. Because it comes down to just Dallas and their next game is Dallas and they want revenge and its basically a playoff game for them. So look for a really tight game.

Hold on to the ball dak
see how I had to turn it into a negative Dak thing, oh Im bad

I think we will get this win.
we'll need the O-line to hold up against their rush and as long as we can limit Ertz and Tate we should be ok.

Now to the offense, feed Zeke, hold on to the ball and don't take sacks.

My Predictions:
Cowboys finish 11-5
Division winners
3rd Seed in playoffs
Dak will win first game of playoffs
TBD
I say 10-6
4th seed
Dak will win 1 game
the rest depends

Remaining schedule doesn't matter. This is your opportunity to control you destiny. To take control of this division once and for all. To leave no doubt. To step on the throats of the Eagles and tell them "you're not winning this division this year, or making the playoffs, it's ours now."

If Dallas beats Philadelphia again, they'll have a 2 1/2 game lead with three to go. That team is no longer a threat, they're finished. So finish them off, here and now, while it's within your control.

Or you can shrug it off and lose and then rely on hope and help the rest of the way. I'm not interested in that. Finish the job. Finish what you've started.
And that’s why I said I think we’ll beat them by more points than last time and “worst case scenario”. So to sum it up again, I’m not worried about them beating us but if they do I’m still not worried about not winning the division due to the remaining schedules of both teams.

Thursday’s win unravels if we don’t get this one.

That said, they’re traveling to us on a short week. We’re on a hot streak and coming off the mini-bye. If we’re ever going to put a foot on a team’s throat and stomp, it’s this week. This is a game we should win.
I could be mistaken, but this team (defense, at least) seems to have that killer mentality (more so than in years past).

You want me to believe Jason Garrett is a really good coach?

Then these are the games he has to win. Home game, long rest, Eagles a bit hobbled on defense, division/playoffs on the line, etc.

There's no excuse for not coming out and beating this Eagles team Sunday. What I don't want to see is if we lose, the homers all coming out and saying it's no big deal, we will still win the division because the Eagles have the Rams and Texans left, blah, blah, blah.

We control our destiny. I don't want to be in a situation where we then need help to win the division.

Garrett teams always eat the cheese
I'm really really worried because of how well we did against NO

Dallas needs to box in Ertz with safety help. They need to use Jordan like they did last week as a spy on Sproles. The front 4 needs to get after Wentz because he will make mistakes under pressure. Corners need to play inside leverage and take away quick slants. LVE should be ready to jump those slants and anything directly over the middle. Someone needs to lay some wood on Golden Tate early and make him think twice about coming over the middle.

Make Philly beat you deep down the sidelines where 31 and 23 excel, giving the front 4 more time to get to the QB.

Good point, just like his quickness around the ball.
It'll be interesting to see how they decide to cover everybody. Ertz was a one man wrecking crew last time, and now Tate is getting acclimated to their system. The key, IMO will be to slow down Ertz, somehow. Do they put Byron Jones on him? He's been good at defending TE's in the past...I won't pretend to know the best approach, I just hope that the defensive coaches have a plan to limit his production.

And that’s why I said I think we’ll beat them by more points than last time and “worst case scenario”. So to sum it up again, I’m not worried about them beating us but if they do I’m still not worried about not winning the division due to the remaining schedules of both teams.

To sum up, I am worried if they beat us. Because it matters.

iggles have ZERO talent in the secondary. Cooper should torch this D.

If the Cowboys defense plays like it did against the Saints the Cowboys win. But I do think the Eagles are playing a lot better now than they were a few weeks ago. The Commanders DL really didn't get after Wentz the entire game and that's saying something because the Commanders DL is pretty good. But the Eagles secondary is decimated by injuries. If Dak and the Cowboys WRs can't score points this week then they may as well pack it in. If the Cowboys notch their 8th win Sunday, they are almost assured a spot in the playoffs with Washington down to Mark Sanchez as their QB. If the Cowboys win this week they will ensure the Giants cannot beat them in the division!

This is a prove it game for me. If Dallas has truly turned the corner, they win this game. If not, nothing has really changed.
