Dallas v Philly 2

I don't care if we beat them by 1 or 30, just win the dang game. I've got a feeling this is gonna be an ugly slugfest.
I wish more people didn't care if we won by 1 or 30. Hell, some people aren't even happy with a 33 point win. :muttley:

Sports talk shows today are idiotic and ridiculous , laughably praising Philthy........................Talk is about them "playing their best ball right now" ; they barely managed to get by a bad and schizophrenic NY team and they just won against a walking wounded Washington team on its 3rd QB................

I hope our Boys kick the crap out of them.............................

They started that last night on ESPN. Even Witten and them were saying how Philly is hot right now.
I had to laugh at that.
however, this will still be a tough game.

But the nail is in the coffin, Dallas just needs to drive it in further.
Beat the Eagles, then beat the Colts, I believe we officially win the division.

Philly's backs are against the wall. We'd better be on the lookout for fake punts, onside kicks and every trick/gadget play conceivable. I don't care if we beat them by 1 or 30, just win the dang game. I've got a feeling this is gonna be an ugly slugfest.

Yes I feel that it will be a much harder game than many think it will be.
It will not be a cake walk, but I hope it is.

Thursday’s win unravels if we don’t get this one.

That said, they’re traveling to us on a short week. We’re on a hot streak and coming off the mini-bye. If we’re ever going to put a foot on a team’s throat and stomp, it’s this week. This is a game we should win.

They are whipped into a lather today. Hosts now on 97.5 are expecting a win Sunday because they've integrated Tate into the offense.

We need to put them down Sunday. If we lose, I will be very disappointed in this staff and team. This is a depleted Eagles team coming into our house on a short week with the playoffs on the line. No excuses.

You want me to believe Jason Garrett is a really good coach?

Then these are the games he has to win. Home game, long rest, Eagles a bit hobbled on defense, division/playoffs on the line, etc.

There's no excuse for not coming out and beating this Eagles team Sunday. What I don't want to see is if we lose, the homers all coming out and saying it's no big deal, we will still win the division because the Eagles have the Rams and Texans left, blah, blah, blah.

We control our destiny. I don't want to be in a situation where we then need help to win the division.

That's interesting coz you gave had this team up for dead five weeks ago with no chance of playoffs....so maybe the so-called "homers" were on the something.

This from a poster who actually enjoy your posts.......but the negativity surprises me sometimes.

The more I think about this matchup-- the better I actually am feeling about it. For a surprising reason as well. Aside from 2016-- In the past-- Philly has usually been the "tougher" team. We may beat them and we have won plenty of games-- but they always seem to play the bully and we play the steady, patient fighter that uses the opponents aggression against them. Romo was a master at it. Witten and Dez were always tough individual dudes-- but Romo got hurt a lot, and our D was more of the "bend and don't break" variety than nasty dudes that physically whip you.

But this is the first time in a long time that I can remember that our defense is actually the toughest, fastest, angriest unit on the field. Our offense has it's issues-- but Dak and Zeke are also both really physically tough dudes. The OL has a fighter's mentality. From top to bottom-- we are in fact, the tougher team overall IMO. We need that angry toughness to simply out-will them on Sun.

They are in our house-- and it is appropriate that we take the division crown by force in front of our home town fans. If I'm Garrett-- all I'm saying is "you guys want the division? There it is-- go get it". Set the dogs loose on em

Don't wanna sound cocky but unless the offense has multiple turnovers and the D lay an, I just don't see us losing this game. May not be the sexiest game coz it's a divisional rivalry but we should still win.

...Dallas D went up a whole notch with Saints game. They will repeat performance. 24-10 Cowboys.

Totally disagree with this take.

Did you watch the game last night? If we lose, would you rather face the Rams, Texans and Skins over the Colts, Buccaneers and Giants? The only team they have an advantage over us out of the remaining 3 in the Skins when we’ll have to play the Giants and by that time we’ll already have the division locked up so it won’t matter.

It’s ok to disagree. I’ve been calling for one loss (the Saints), max two, since prior to the Atlanta game and so far I’m wrong, we have zero losses but most were talking about tanking at the time. I’ll also say this, we have benefited greatly from a soft schedule and decimated teams in our divison but that’s part of the reason I predicted one, or two losses, and for us to make the playoffs. That was even before Smith went down. Wrap up the NFCE and put a bow around it on Sunday, an early Xmas present.

You listen to 97.5? Didn't know many Boys fans that do unless they were from Philly. Funny thing is eagles fans in general sound like how Boys fans did before they went on the streak so I wouldn't pay 97.5 or wip much mind.

Philly has shown they can step up when it counts (read playoffs)

Dallas, not so much.

Everything has led up to this. We have played well enough to put ourselves into contention for the playoffs— but this is the game we have to have.

We are at home, rested, healthier, and on a big win streak. Philly is desperate, proud, and doing anything they can to get back into the fight.

The Philly offense is really built around two things: Zach Ertz and an excellent screen game.

They sprinkle in some throws to Tate and use Jefferey as a possession WR and red zone threat— but their bread and butter is Ertz and screens.

Ertz killed us last game. Can we stop him? Can we get consistent pressure on Wentz? The Philly offense is not NO— but they are dangerous when they are clicking. We must match their intensity for 60 mins and continue covering and tackling the way we have been to win this one.

Looking at their defense...Their front 7 is really good. We are giving up a bunch of sacks. Their weakness is their secondary— but if they bring heavy pressure— will Dak get rid of the ball fast enough to hurt them?

Can we get enough push to give Zeke consistent space to operate? They will be very aggressive— and we have to have great playcalling in order to use that aggressiveness against them.

A contender wins this game. Somehow, some way— we must find the will to win this one and end the Eagles season.

Their tears will be so sweet
A Dallas win in this game pretty much seals the Division title for them. I don't want to go there, but a loss is by no means a killer with the schedule that philthy has coming following Sunday. The stars are aligned very heavily in our favor. Just take care of business this Sunday. I firmly believe that we have the better overall team (maybe I'm being a bit himerish?), not to mention home field and rest advantages. Our boys should win this game. Just go do it!

Philly’s O line sucks and they are still very banged up, I truly think we win by more points than game 1. Even if we lose, their schedule is worse than ours and I’m confident we would win mkre games than them.

Not worried about the results of this game in the slightest. Worst case scenario, they beat us (won’t happen) and then we have to beat the 6-6 Colts, Bucs and/or Giants. The Eagles have the Rams, Texans and Commanders.

I like our chances much more if they pull off some sort of miracle and beat us.

Remaining schedule doesn't matter. This is your opportunity to control you destiny. To take control of this division once and for all. To leave no doubt. To step on the throats of the Eagles and tell them "you're not winning this division this year, or making the playoffs, it's ours now."

If Dallas beats Philadelphia again, they'll have a 2 1/2 game lead with three to go. That team is no longer a threat, they're finished. So finish them off, here and now, while it's within your control.

Or you can shrug it off and lose and then rely on hope and help the rest of the way. I'm not interested in that. Finish the job. Finish what you've started.

I agree that we should win this one and that there are no excuses not to. I still think that we sin the division even if we lose, though. That's not being homerish, that's just being realistic when looking at respective schedules.
That said, a loss would not bode well for doing anything good once in the playoffs. This is a game we need to win. Period.
