There was a lot of discussion this preseason about talent levels of the two teams but when you look at it now, Dallas is definitely the more talented team. I was thinking about this today and really there are only two positions I would say the Eagles have an advantage - DT (because of Cox) and TE (Ertz and Goedert). Even if you factor in the injury losses, Dallas probably still is more talented. And definitely more talented when you look at younger guys.

- Cowboys have the better TBs. Elliott is better than Howard and our 4th round TB is better than their 2nd round rookie,

- Cowboys have the better WR corps, even if Jackson was healthy. Cooper is the best WR on either team and frankly you could argue Gallup is better than any WR the Eagles have. But when you look at our 3rd, 4th and 5th WRs, they are better than what Philly runs out. Philly runs out Mack Hollins, who stinks, and we are running out Austin.

- A lot was made of the Eagles OL, but the Cowboys OL has played better. And I think if McGovern can come back, we are significantly deeper now too. Football Outsiders has our OL both Top 10 in run and pass blocking.

- QB. Worst case, you can argue it's a wash. Best case, Prescott is playing better than Wentz.

- Neither team is killing it from the DE perspective, but I'd take our DEs over theirs at this point.

- We have three LBs better than their best LB, Bradham. That's a woeful LB corps in Philly. Frankly, I think Thomas is as good as Bradham as well.

- CBs? No comparison. Jones is so far ahead of anything the Eagles have and I like our depth better. Awuzie gets picked on a lot but he's not worse than Mills, who Philly is counting on to be a savior.

- S is the one that surprises me. For all the chatter about Woods and Heath and how mediocre they are, Philly's safety play has been so-so as well. Jenkins looks like he's lost some and McLeod has been so-so. Woods is the highest rated S on either team if you buy into PFF.

I guess my point is that as long as we don't muddle the coaching from here on out, the Cowboys are the better team. Schedules could factor in as Philly has a dreadfully easy Dec schedule, but we get another crack at them and I don't really fear playing in Philly (based on how the two teams are playing now, that could change).

IMO when both teams are Healthy and factoring in coaching , Id say its wash and thats why it will be a dog fight for the division yearly at least for few years until Washignton and NY catch up..

Their WR core has really regressed. Jeffery is just not a #1 caliber WR anymore, and Agholor will probably struggle to make someone's top next season.

I think Roseman needs to be agressive addressing WR and CB next offseason

We are the best in the east but we need to atleast try to get better. Patriots traded for sanu while we look at our injured wr's and think praying for health is better than adding talented depth.

Coaching is the wild card and up until late Sunday I would have given Philthy the distinct edge but Pederson sticking to the run was poor coaching and I only remember one draw play out of them and outside of wide receiver screens I can't remember any. Philly looked more ill-prepared for this game than we did any on out 3 game losing streak. They looked like something that fell out of the south end of a northbound cow. Might add they really underutilized their only offensive advantage their tight ends. I've seen Ertz get almost 20 targets a game before.

Like superonyx said above ... if we can't win this division, this weak division, then it's on our coaching. We're better, by far, than any other NFCE team talent wise.

If we stay healthy we can play with any team.

Peterson probably thinks that the offense of 2017 can still work where he can run the ball with a physical running back and use the RPO. Problem is similar to what McVay is going thru and that is teams are gameplanning on stopping the run and not going for the play actions.

They also know that Wentz can't throw an accurate deep ball and he don't like to checkdown to a RB thus making him easier to defend compared to Foles.

Just to touch on the QB point. I don’t see how anyone can say they’re equal, Dak is head and shoulders above Wentz at this point. Wentz looks like a rookie and Dak is playing like a polished vet. Even in our 3 losses, Dak has played well and wasn’t the reason we dropped those games.

Philly talking heads are saying that if Pedersen hadn’t won the super bowl two years ago the Eagles would be firing Pedersen already for the piss poor performance this year.

Dak is the far superior QB in every respect and it’s hard to see someone disagreeing with that statement with a straight face.

Would you have wanted to have given it a second round pick for that guy?

Yep. The last of that doubt is drying up these days, but the evidence is pretty clear. Even without the stories about troubles in the PHI locker room filtering out.

Totoally agree, I feel like Wentz is skating by on the fact he’s a high draft pick and he played well for half a season 2 years ago when philly won.

slowly the narrative is changing, but damn he still gets far to much love for what he is.

Belechik gets a pass for sometimes overpaying as we have all seen them change how they operate to utilize the talent they have. We do not so if sanu doesn't fit what were going to call its a waste but there he will be used to a greater degree of effectiveness if needed. They also do a darn good job working the free agency so they get comp picks etc. I'd give up a 2nd to get a WR, Safety, or DT who can come in and make an impact for a playoff-SB run, 100% ofthe time.

How about actually answering the question?

When this front office get to a certain point they get complacent and don't feel the need to improve anymore.......the Patriots are constantly looking for and doing things to improve their team. Jimmy did the same thing but after he left that stopped.........along with the super bowls.

The biggest difference between the Cowboys and the Eagles is that the Eagles Roster is OLD in terms of age vs our young roster.

It never gets old to watch a group so perplexed at how bad their team played in the one game fans care most about. Old players crying about lack of accountability, coaching, a players will to win. Just disgusted. But so enjoyable.
