All he does is catch the ball, move the chains, and make plays. IMO he is better than anybody currently on the roster.

He’s a stud.

Most natural pass catching TE in the class. I don’t love him at 26 but he’s a good player.

Goedert like.

He is my favorite TE but he will be gone before 26.we could wait for later to draft a TE but if he drops to 26 its a no brainer in my opinion.Remember we like Goddert in the draft and Kincaid is better after the catch than him.

I’d rather wait a year and see what Ferguson and Hendershot can show. I don’t think investing a first rounder would be smart.

… unless they absolutely crush free agency (they wont) and they some of our needs like MLB, DT, WR etc

It’s very possible Kincaid is the 4th best pure receiving weapon in this draft. I see Mike Gesicki at worst

It’s a little risky considering both of them together combined for less than 200 yards receiving last year. I don’t get the impression that TE is super high on their priority list either, but I can see Washington and Mayer being in the mix for their first pick. Depends on which prospects are still available.

Kincaid is basically a tall, big WR.

As others said, I just am not sure I can get behind taking a TE in the 1st. The board would have to be wasted and no trade options for me to think RB or TE at 26 (which is possible). Plus, if we are going to go back to trying to run the ball more, a guy like Mayer might make more sense as he is a good blocker but still a great pass catching TE.

If Kincaid/Mayer, Bijan and Torrence are there at 26, I'd really be hard pressed to not take the OG as crazy as that sounds. Or even one of the edge guys that could be there.

I agree with you.

That is why mocks are so hard pre free agency. A lot of teams will fill holes and players will drop

I should add, it's not that I dislike Kincaid as a prospect, but I would wager good money this team feels like it's in a good spot (right, wrong, or indifferent) at TE with Ferguson, Hendershot, and McKeon. I think they are going to let Schultz walk and this will be a position they think they go light in terms of salary while going heavy at another (like RB for example).

Kincaid is a really good player. I guess the question is where does he rank on this team’s board ? Pitts he is not but he may be a difference maker for a QB that likes to throw to his TE.

I just can’t see it. If this team typically active in free agency, Kincaid would be great.

But I expect a few band aid signings like Anthony Barr, Jonathan Hankins, Xavier Rhodes type players. So going TE round one for me, just doesn’t seem likely.

a QB who would rather throw it to slow TE than a open Wr.

I don’t think it’s likely. I think he falls somewhere in round 2. But way before our selection.

Kincaid definitely checks the good football player box. He was Utah's leading receiver by 20 catches. Defenses knew he was their #1 target, and he separated and caught everything anyway. I think he will work out well this next week too.

I wouldn't love him as our first round pick, because I just don't think we are going to use our TEs very much. But I wouldn't hate it either. We need receivers in the worst way and Kincaid shows very little bust risk.

I'd rather have Kincaid over a WR in the 1st round. QB1 throws mostly to the slot (CeeDee) or TE. Get a more dynamic TE as the number 2 option candidate.
