Jeremiah compared Kincaid to Travis Kelce and Zach Ertz.

"I know he is coming off of an injury right now and I know he is kind of more of a flex tight end, but Dalton Kincaid from Utah is—I think he is a big time player," Jeremiah said. "He is one of my favorite players to watch in this draft. I think he is one of the best players in the draft. He is just sudden in everything that he does. He separates. He is outstanding after the catch. You know, he can win on contact over the middle of the field. He is really, really good after the catch. You know, as a blocker, he is going to more shield you and wall off. I don't like when you compare guys to all-time great players, but just in his movement stuff, he moves, he kind of looks likes Kelce just the way he moves in and out of breaks. He is a really, really good player. I really liked Zach Ertz when he was coming out, the year he was coming out. I think he is a better version of Zach Ertz."

The Gronk also had a back issue when he was drafted, caused him to fall to rnd 2.

Ertz is a really good NFL comparison for Kincaid. Kelce isn't though... they may move similarly in space, but Kelce's got 20 lbs on him. He's in a whole different weight class.

I just can’t see it. If this team typically active in free agency, Kincaid would be great.

But I expect a few band aid signings like Anthony Barr, Jonathan Hankins, Xavier Rhodes type players. So going TE round one for me, just doesn’t seem likely.
Not sure Rhodes can still play..didn't see him much after we signed him last year.

All he does is catch the ball, move the chains, and make plays. IMO he is better than anybody currently on the roster.

Football is won in the trenches. The Cowboys need help both on the OL and DL. That should be the priority. I know Madden playing fans don’t like that. They want sexy picks, but the lines is where football games are won.

Man we share a brain on this one. Totally agree. Trenches improve the play in other areas, yet other positions don’t affect enhance and improve the trenches. No-brainer.

I like the Cowboys TE's even without Schultz. The potential is there for a breakout season by either former rookie.

Besides, all the best TE's since 2010 were drafted in the 3rd round or lower. Kelce and Andrews are 3rd rounders, Kittle is a 5th rounder.

Since 2010, there have been a combined 126 seasons by a TE drafted in the 1st round. Only four of them produced a thousand yards or more in receiving yards. This was accomplished by only two TE's, Olsen did it three times and Pitts has done it once.

I would be more open to a first round TE if the team went out and signed a legitimate WR in free agency. I feel like it would be easier to find a good WR in free agency than a good TE.

If Dallas drafted a first round WR and signed a free agent TE, nobody would blink. So, if Dallas drafted a first round TE like Kincaid and brought in a good WR, that should be viewed equally.

Frankly, I think Kincaid is much more of a sure thing than any of the WR’s, except for maybe Addison. I feel like he is, at worst, a good, reliable target for Dak. At best, he could make a huge difference. I think he is going to be very good. His hands are exceptional.

I’d rather see the team take an EDGE, CB, or OL at 26 and then move up from the late second into the early second if Kincaid (or Washington) is available then. Coming out of the first two days of the draft with a haul of something like this would get me fired up:

Rd1 - Nolan Smith EDGE or Derek Hall EDGE
Rd2 - Dalton Kincaid TE or D Washington TE
Rd3 - Julius Brents CB or Sydney Brown S

That is with a free agent WR, of course.

The team seems like they’re going to be a little more aggressive in free agency this year. I don’t think they’re going to be getting any top-end free agents… but I think they’ll be more active in the mid range than they have been in a long time.

Rock, I think we get 1 maybe 2 new starters and build the depth later in the trenches.

LG is obviously a glaring need same as 1T.

I see them bringing back Hankins and running Tank - Hank - Osa - Armstrong at DL. Williams is a great piece at DE and Golston helps being versatile.

I would love a guy like Broderick Jones at 26. I’m not a big fan of Ball, but Waletzko had a redshirt year and could be improved.

I wouldn’t doubt also seeing McGovern and Fowler back on team friendly deals.

Watched Kincaid again this morning and am warming up to him.

Elite hands and body control and wins from everywhere. Lined up in line, inside and outside and just catches everything. Stinks he isn’t working out but he looks like a 4.6 guy.

When you think of him more as a WR than an in-line TE it’s easier to like him. Might be the most natural pass catcher in the draft.

Would have to take him at 26 if we wanted him.

To me it depends on what the Cowboys do in free agency. If they re-sign Schultz then this pick at 26 would be overkill at the TE position.

If they don't sign Schultz and they fix their other gaps in free agency then this might be a good pick, even at 26. If he is the best on the board then why not take him.

In the last 3 years only 1 TE has been taken in the 1st round and that was Pitts.

If we draft a TE ta 26 I will Grab a brick and Pitch it at the TV. We have at least 2 great TE's and have many other needs.

Tagging an average TE for 10+ million would be almost as dumb as the money we gave Zeke.

We have to let him walk.

Could be 3 TE’s taken in rnd1 this draft. Doubt Kincaid makes it to 26.

Yes. We have two great TEs. We also have 60 other great players on the roster.
