Human nature is a funny one that i'm still learning to this day and i'm no spring chicken. People can be so mean and then in a blink of an eye someone will come to your rescue. Still baffles the soul how people in general act. Let me elaborate please.

If you are on a boat on a lake or in the Ocean most people will wave and say Hi as they pass you on the water. If you are broken down on the water you mostly don't even have to ask for help passers bye will stop and offer.

If you ride a Motorcycle and another bike passes almost always there is some kind of jester of peace. I seen multiple hand signals non offensive.

I ride horses and a lot of times a total stranger will stop me on the trail just to chat and ask me where i'm headed and get this.."If I need anything"...lol!

I just don't understand what the heck happens when people get in a "Vehicle" it's almost like it's them or the other guy that's going to live or die.

Oh well,

th

Doesn't look good at all. Assuming he avoids jail time, I'd imagine he'd face the maximum 6 game penalty.

Naw. He was still in the vehicle when the police pulled him over. Not at the same spot because the reports indicate the flagged down a police officer and the police later caught up to him and pulled him over.

But the real important part is that he admits to everything including have road rage and brandishing the rifle.

Also it's not illegal to save a spot. There are no laws making it a criminal offense to hold a spot. It's shady and shows poor etiquette but not illegal

I wish him the best of luck but he shouldn't have said anything to the police. He admitted to everything
Re-read the article..... you have everything wrong

It is against Toyota's Stadiums rules to hold a spot or take more than one....hence "illegal"
She did not require any medical assistance
He was walking towards the game when the cops caught up with him after being flagged down by the tailgaters
He may have implied something by moving the rifle from the front seat to the rear seat but he didn't brandish it in a threatening manner, which isn't even part of Texas law, but it still could be a crime

Sec. 42.01. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. (a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly:

(8) displays a firearm or other deadly weapon in a public place in a manner calculated to alarm;

READ THIS:

I closed the last thread on this topic because it got too heated and way off topic; bizarre in fact. There were multiple posts deleted and I think some got benched. Hence, why it was closed after 20+ pages.

Now you've reopened another thread which isn't dear to my heart. However, it is part of the job of the staff so.....

Just be aware I've already deleted one post which easily could've benched someone and closed a report. There will be zero tolerance here on out. We'll just bench people who break the rules and we will close the thread again or move it to the Rant Zone.

Keep it clean and on topic. No politics. No discussion of weapons yada yada.

Signed,

Baba Yaga

  • Well it states she has a bruised shoulder, arm, and face and was seeing a doctor ( link from post #2)
  • Holding a parking spot can be against the rules of the park but it's not illegal. I guess we may have different interpretations of illegal. To me illegal means it's a criminal offense. Against the rules is like bringing your own food into a movie theatre - definately against the rules and you can be asked to leave, but it's not a criminal offense.
  • He's being charged w pc22.02.a2. - basically displaying a firearm during the commission of an assault. The assault was hitting or backing into the woman. The display of the firearm is self explanatory.
We will have to disagree on our interpretations. It's all good though. Hope he gets a handle on the situation.

Wow. That previous thread must've been really bad because I don't see anything wrong with this one.

As for the actual topic...

When the incident first happened, I read it as a bunch of people tailgating while taking up too much space.
Of course, there's always someone that's had far too much to drink looking for an opportunity to escalate a situation.
In this case, a woman with a boyfriend. Almost always the worst scenario.

Now, Wilson reacted poorly. It most likely will cost him his lifetime dream. At least for some time.
Easy for me to say, but if I were a professional athlete, I think I would do everything possible to isolate
myself from the public. Preferred parking, box seats, etc. Hell, I'd probably just stay home... like I do now.

Absolutely! We are all mature adults here and should be able to discuss cowboys news - important news, without getting crazed or getting too testy with each other. People are going to have diasagreements but should handle it in a mature manner

My apologies to anyone upset with this thread. It was not my intention to cause any issues or incite anyone. Just saw some interesting new developments in the Wilson case.

Go cowboys!

To be fair...just saw this from his attorney today. Just FYI

In retrospect, I would have just offered them like $200-300 for the spot. Would have saved alot of money and headaches

She did not severe. One of the links indicated she had minor injuries to the face and shoulder area. Maybe he didn't "run over" her but instead hit her backing up. Semantics

I'm thinking he backed up and hit her causing her to fall down. Not necessarily ran her over but instead knocked her over with his vehicle
Where are you seeing she had injuries?

his decision making process was so bad in this situation that Dallas needs to find his replacement in next draft. Talented yes but league is feasting on these guys with suspensions.

And sign Daryl Washington for this season. Would have done this even before all these details came out but Wilson is done, need to cut bait on idiots.

Scrubs just don't have as long of a leash as stars do. And Wilson is far from a star.

LB is extremely thin at this point. Nzeocha is always injured it seems. Even if healthy, we're still not sure what he can do. If J. Smith isn't ready to contribute consistently, we're basically down to 2 LBs.

The link from my second post. Post #2 in this thread. Her injuries were to the arm, shoulder, and face and she's being treated by a doctor from Fort Worth. As always, I'm sure that he did some wrong, but I'm not totally sold that it warrants two felony charges. There's always two sides to the story.

The injuries are indicated in the sportswire/USA Today article

OR he slowly backs into a parking space that a woman was standing in trying to illegally save it for her friend

he then moves his rifle from the front seat of his truck to the back seat and locks the truck

then he walks towards the stadium to watch the game he was there to see

He was there to watch fireworks. That's where they launch them from in Frisco.
