NO biggie.I missed the "if" in your post and thought it said "it's almost a certainty they don't use a 2nd rounder" as an argument against his post. my bad.

More like the inveterate flea market shopper.Jerry Jones, ever the gambler.
When it comes to team building, other GM's try to get smarter. Jerry tries to get luckier.
Maybe so but he didn’t flash ONE TIME.That was expected. Came back too early and rookie year thrown into the fire.
I wouldnt get too down on him.
JACOB ROGERS...Damone Clark was rated as a potential 2nd round pick, but dropped in the draft to the 5th round since the NFL discovered a medical issue during the combine. This year, there is another draft prospect that was a potential 2nd round pick, but blew out his knee at the NFL combine, and is likely to drop in the draft. The Cowboys are bringing him to Dallas as one of their 30 prospect visits. His name is Andrew Vorhees, and he started at Guard for USC for many years. Look for the Cowboys to try to repeat their 2022 strategy by trying to select Vorhees in the 5th round, and let him sit for a year while recovering from ACL reconstruction.
Maybe it's just me. I've never been a gambler. Majoring in Math and being a statistician kind of ruined that for me. I've always believed in going with the most favorable odds. I figured that I used up any quota of good luck the day I proposed to my wife and she said yes.in the 2nd, yes, in the 5th why not?? jeez its 5th most teams with comp picks have many extra low round picks to use on flyer for payer like this. Jerry not the only one that done this.even taken a hurt payer in the 2nd or 3rd on potential.
remember Willis McGahee was supposed to be top 5 pick destroyed his knee in the playoff game in last college game like Jaylon, drafted 23rd overall, sat out year like Jaylon then put up 8500 yards and 65 Tds in the nfl
