Noone precited that even down 21 they refused to stop running...

You’re right, and this is important to remember. Quinn was playing it like any defensive coordinator would have. Up really big, the opposing team will almost always pass a lot to try to catch up and win. Instead, with Dallas guarding against the pass and teeing off on the QB, Chicago just continued to run, run, run. They never were going to win that way… but they did pile up a lot of rushing yards.

There’s no doubt that Dallas could’ve focused more on stopping the run and containing Fields, but when you’re up that much, you play the pass.

They need to work on the run defense and containing running QB’s, but they aren’t nearly as bad against the run as they looked yesterday.

this is off a site on Clarkes game..

"this future starting linebacker was ready for his first NFL defensive snap and his second and the 38 more, tallying his first NFL tackle and first assisted tackle during the Bears' first possession of the second half. In all, the former LSU linebacker finished with six total tackles, just two short of the four leaders with eight."

This defense is so good we could run a 4-3 or 3-4 at any time

Hankins/Bohana at nose
OSA/DLaw/Trysten/Gholston/Armstrong at end (depending on run or pass downs)
Micah, cox, Fowler and Williams as outside LBs.
LVE/Clark/Barr and ? As inside lbs

That’s amazing. Does anyone know how he played. I didn’t get to rewatch the game and got rid of directv and can’t record games any more. Only draw back to loosing dirtectv but not paying 150 bucks a month is nicer.

I thought he played quite well glimmerman, out of position at times but that's to be expected being his first game. At one point he came clean up the middle to rush Fields, flushed him and it resulted in a sack. He's oozing with talent which is exactly what they said all along. Dropped to 5th round due to neck injury but my question is where was he rated to go if they wouldn't have found the neck issue? Looks like a high to mid 2nd rounder to me. Just curious...TIA

There is obviously some kind of error with this measurement.

During Usain Bolt's world record run he was going 23.35mph. There is no way Clark is running pretty much as fast as Bolt on that play lol.

That was an average .. I guarantee you at his top speed Bolt was in the 27-28 mph range. People yall need to try to think things through before posting.

I think you have made a great point. But there is another point you made hidden within your commentary.

The "garbage time stats" which is the ever response to the stats Dak posts ignore the other team in those instances always play the pass. You can't catch up running the ball. So the implied message that teams let up ignores that teams play the pass because that is what it takes to catch up. If he is posting stats against primarily a pass defense, then they aren't really garbage stats at all.

Sorry to include a Dak moment in your great observation. But I believe most ignore what is happening on the field and rewrite history to fit their narrative. That is not directed at you.

100 meter dash is a war of attrition. It is who slows down the least by the end.

People don't realize that unless they have run the race lol

Apparently he could have been higher rounds for sure. Not sure how many other LB drafted in front of him. Makes you wonder how well the scouts look. Some of these players are born for these positions.McClay knows how to hunt a LB…

What? Kearse was a good 10 yards closer and had the angle and he still outran Kearse to make the tackle
obviously he had the inside angle, but ten yards? unless you’re talking about side line to side line which i may be having trouble perceiving, clark was well ahead of kearse when they started pursuing

Neck injury knocked him down a couple rounds or took him off some teams boards altogether.

Guys,

Gret to see Clark made it back on the field and they only spent a 5th on him BUT let's not forget both LVE and JS had some pre-draft injury concerns,

both had a great start to their careers, Pro bowls flashes of greatness but both tailed off, JS fell off cliff injury never recovered enough for his to recover his college preinjury physical traits.

so yes Clark is on the field but will his surgery's hold him back or create a injury prone career., we do not know this yet, a lot of us were talking about JS, LVE and, Lee playing together as potentially lethal backfield of LBers and it never came to fruition.

According to Google Bolt topped out at 27.33 mph during his world record 100 meter run. As a kid I remember reading that Bob Hayes hit nearly 28 mph during his anchor leg on the 4x100 at the '64 Olympics.. Which is haulin some serious bootay when you consider that was a cinder track..
