As a teacher, I'm having trouble with the units mismatch. Parsons ran a time of 20.41? seconds? and Damone Clark ran 22.19 MPH?

Regardless, the 20.41 mph equates to a 4.05 forty yard dash, and the 22.19 mph equates to a 3.7 flat in the forty yard dash. If 22.19 mph is really true, then Damone Clark needs to go set some world records as well. Bob Hayes would be jealous.

If this kid can get up to speed (pun intended) quickly I would be using him to spy every mobile QB in the future. Hurts especially.
Clarke spies Hurts and keeps an eye on the RPO of Philadelphia then the rest of the defense can do their thing. We win. Hurts isn't consistent enough to beat us with his arm.

Clark reached a top speed of 22.19 mph- this is not his average speed over the distance. That would have been quite a bit slower- 17-18 mph range likely.

By comparison Bolt ran an average of 23.35mph in his world record 100, and his top speed was 27.8mph.

So, I've been watching more and more of this guy.

And he's going to be an excellent player, for sure. No doubt in my mind that Damone Clark will fit in nicely with this team.

Bolt was on methylhexaneamine. Doesn't count.

Just kidding. That is super fast, though. I think Lewis clocked pretty close to that as well in his prime. He was actually 28 MPH, and a clean athlete.

This defense is so good we could run a 4-3 or 3-4 at any time

Hankins/Bohana at nose
OSA/DLaw/Trysten/Gholston/Armstrong at end (depending on run or pass downs)
Micah, cox, Fowler and Williams as outside LBs.
LVE/Clark/Barr and ? As inside lbs
? is my favorite. Hope he gets more playing time.

What level do you teach? Kindergarten? Both numbers are top speed reached not average. That top speed could have lasted 2-3 strides or 10 strides. If the guy who hit 20.41 maintained his speed for 4-5 strides but the one who hit 22.19 could only maintain it for a step or two and then faded fast then the first guy would win the race without hitting the higher top speed. This isn't really that complicated people.. The reality is that Clark's run came on what amounted to a 25-30 yard sprint.. Parsons' came on that play against the Lions which occurred over a shorter distance.

Coming soon to a stadium near you...the Micah & Damone Show.

Hide the dogs, put the kids to bed, this could get ugly for opposing QB's.

....this tandem has not yet been rated....
Sam Williams has that speed too

Right, I realize that the speed is a short burst, but even so, that's impressive enough to consider setting world records at short distance sprinting, 50m, 100m.

It's fine, Parsons may have better speed over an extended run... I get it. Even if Damone Clark has 3.7 time over short distance, (instantaneous speed, Calculus), impressive stuff!

Let's both agree that Parsons is the most impressive player on the defense... and let's agree that Damone Clark shows promise with his short bursts of speed as well. Oh, and let's agree on one more thing.... "how bout them Cowboys!!!"

Agreed on all three counts my Cowboy brother!!! I believe Clark is a little taller (longer) than Parsons (6'5" ish to 6'3" ish) so it's very possible that he has better top end speed than does Parsons. Even if they were the same height when you look at them you can easily see that Clark is a leaner frame. Parsons is build to be more explosive.. Clark is actually built for longer speed. But I would not bet against Parsons in a footrace with anybody on our team with the exceptions of Turpin, Joseph and AB. Oh and I think CJ Goodwin is pretty damn fast too as I recall.

I would hope they all race each other at some point. However, Parsons should fully heal from whatever hamstring or groin injury he's fighting through right now. So glad that there's a bye week. The race I'd like to see the most? Parsons vs Turpin.... mostly because I didn't think the others were on par with Parson's speed, even as cornerbacks. Isn't that amazing when you consider Parsons might be faster than all of Dallas' CB's?
