Yes. I agree that there was certainly some personal PR value on his part as well. Didn't mean to dismiss that angle in my previous post. It will be interesting to see how he responds ultimately upon his return to action. Someone else on this thread made the comment that talk is cheap...I hope his redemptive actions speak loudly - and often.Good angle, but I kinda thought,,,
This.
And he's really trying in an honest effort to integrate himself into the Fanbases hearts and minds,,,personally I'm gonna keep seeing that foot stomp on #9 while he was already down,,, unless he pulls some highlight reel plays early on.( that ,,,could erase that memory pretty quick)
Hated it.
I don't know; I'm feeling contrarian this morning.
If anything, the decision makers should apologize for signing a player they knew would be subject to suspension.
The team is looking for long term answers. You don't let a small window of games that he might not be available for determine whether you give a guy a chance to be part of the future. He is a young guy with some obvious talent that didn't work out elsewhere. Taking a random shot at the organization for this is really just part of an agenda, not really a valid argument against the move.
He impressed me in a radio interview last week. That's really a stand up thing to do.
Me too. I'd rather he blame it on socioeconomic inequities and video games
I like people who take personal responsibility for their actions. It tells a lot about their character IMO. When I read his apology I came away with the belief it was very genuine and not some puff piece.
Ha!,,In the second meeting that's gonna be a sure thing,,,OH,YES!,,, a sure thing,,,Well that sucks, I was hoping for a shot to the lower back of Eli in the first game!
"blah, blah, blah, Dallas told me to say this, blah, blah, blah, I like illegal substances...blah, blah, blah, blah, please don't cut me....."

They left Valley Ranch, buddy. They're at The Star now.Meh, same old same old at Valley Ranch. Love my Cowboys but the D.Ends are serious screw ups and it's gone from bad to worse.
Hated it.
