Football is crazy.

Dan Bailey can kick an oblong ball 56-yards through the air, with appropriate height and distance, splitting virtually the midway point between both uprights.

On the other hand, Dwayne Harris can call for a fair catch (now no one can legally touch him), place himself in perfect position, stretch out his arms, and promptly drop the punt.

I blame Harris for driving me insane enough to mention him in a Dan Bailey thread. :( :)

chris jones is terrible. IDK why he is still our punter. He sucks. Short punts. We can never flip field position with his 30-40 yard punts.

You know this was one of the most important plays of the game. We tied it at 20 with that FG. If he misses it, we obviously don't tie the game and we just gave them great field position. Dan Bailey has seriously spoiled us. He made one of the most important momentum swinging plays of the game and it doesn't hit the highlight shows cuz he's so automatic. I firmly believe that one could make an argument that without Dan Bailey we would not be 5-1, obviously he won it last week for us.

My favorite thing about Bailey is that he keeps working to make himself better. 2 years ago he was automatic inside 45 and all that, but he didn't have the leg for a 56 yarder. Now, he's as accurate as ever and also has the leg for the long kicks and to have good kickoffs.

It's so nice not having to be anxious about whether the kicker will hook a 35 yarder and what not.

Get our offense to be so good that we don't ever have to punt. Problem solved.

I also noticed that. I think it has a lot to do with gaining strength in the offseason. He came in as a really skinny guy, but you can see a difference in how much bigger he's gotten over the past couple years. I think that increase in mass and presumably strength has extended his range exponentially.

Chris Jones isn't all that bad of a punter, he's more consistent than he's inconsistent. They brought in some competition in TC, but he still won the P position.
I'm ok with him right now as out P.

Bailey, I don't even think about a miss when he goes to kick a FG.
