Too many teams have learned to outsmart Dan Quinn's schemes and Cowvboys' defenses are being scorched, shreaded every which way but loose. You cannot win in the NFL, if you canot stop the run. All the Cowboys' front seven are seen looking to rush the passer. It seems no one is defending the outside runs.

Tom Landry was a master at making adjustments during games to counter whatever worked for opposing teams early in games. It seems that Quinn is not in his league at making adustments.

Quinn needs to start designing new defensive strategy or this team will disappoint further and place all coaches at risk of firing.

And no matter what stats he puts up, Dak is not an elite top 10 QB. I saw from his second year on, he does not have " it" on a consistent basis. If Tony Romo could run like Dak, he would have won a Super Bowl. Tony was much more clutch.

Why was he ignoring Michael Gallup?

I have seen so many games where Dak's offense is sleepwalking the beginning of games. Last week, he was good in 1st half, but failed after being up at 24-10. The Jags scored 30 points, the Cowboys only 10. Under Jimmy Johnson, Aikman, Irvin and Emmit, would come out roaring with scoring and put games away. Their defense was tough against the run.

i believe its more to do with injuries to key positions, some of its sure they have adjusted BUT most of it is injuries. You cant lose 2 starting CBS and not have teams expose the backups, Parson has been nicked for a month now, Tank has foot injury, DA been jn and out , LVE out , Hankins out, Barr out in and out again, lots of issues trying to plug that many holes.

Parson has had a groin come and go all season, wearing a shoulder brace, had the knee ankle deal, and seems to have a flu bug that got him bad the last 2 weeks. add that up to team that's playing hurt and shorthanded, being exposed properly as the opponents know where you are short and attack it.

now DQ must adjust.

Not when he had bad players, he's the same as every other coach. The cowboys secondary is one of the worst units in the league right now.

Quinn needs to start designing new defensive strategy or this team will disappoint further and place all coaches at risk of firing. He needs talent. He has 2 CB's who don't suck the rest are pretty terrible. When he had his top 3 guys, they looked so much better and that was before bland.

Why was he ignoring Michael Gallup? Gallup is trash this year. He's weak in mind and body. Maybe next year he regains the confidence in his body but he clearly doesn't trust his legs.

It's easy to play good D in week 5 as opposed to week 15 after injuries. Injuries matter. We're just so used to late season collapses that we overlook the reasons why.

I forget whether it was the 2007 Giants, or the 2011 Giants. But one of those seasons the Giants had a lot of injured defenders. They weren't looking good at one point. Got those guys back and the rest is history. If the Cowboys can get to full strength on D, they'll be a tough out.

Romo could run like Dak. He wasn't built for it though and the risk would not be worth it.

Dak's running ability is exaggerated. He's not very fast or agile.

I'm not sure its as much a scheme issue at this point. The run defense has been pretty good the last several weeks. Lose Hankins, lose LVE in addition to missing 2 starting DBs and it becomes a lot to overcome. Seems like we have a chance to get LVE & Hankins back, just hope we can keep the rest of the starters healthy for when those guys get back.

Quinn’s been coaching defense in the league for like a decade. They just now figured him out a few weeks ago?

Quinn was figured out long ago, SF tore up his defense last year. The Patriots tore up his defense in the Super Bowl. Dan Quinn is starting to make excuses cause the pressure is on now….every team is facing injuries. But you cant keep giving up 34pt and 500yds a game nor 200 yrs rushing. Quinn has been exposed his defense is a mess

Put Parsons at MLB on run downs. Bring in Golston if the other ends aren't setting the edge. Enough full time Nickel defense.

The entire team has been figured out. Arbitrary implosion incoming before the playoffs.
I wont say so, still they are scoring points in the 30s, if we are figured out a la denver game last year , we would be struggling to score. But right now , brain farts in the wrong moments is causing this team to implode , injuries are not helping. One series is world class , the next is pathetic. Untimely play calling , unnecessary risk , not a reliable goto receiver/ TE who will get separation at a critical amount , vanishing pass rush and non existent Run D are catching up.
