Haha, this is so true.

We'll get some bum that McCarthy trusts like Dom Capers and we'll I guess have to deal with it.

I know but I hate it. Dont want any more basic schemes on either side of the ball to be honest.

Honestly, I wish we would go back to a 3-4 full time so Micah can play his natural position as a OLB
I think im scarred over the 3-4 from the Rob Ryan disaster, and we dont take DT seriously at all, but man imagine if we still ran it and couldve gotten TJ, damn marinelli man.

DQ is as good as gone ladies and gents. The performance his side of the ball put up this postseason all but confirmed it.

So with that said, who would you want to replace him? I dont trust McCarthy to get the DC hire right two times in a row and it would suck to regress on that side of the ball. We are a good DC and defensive tackles away from being the best defense in the league.

Ill start by saying it better not be a promotion from anyone on his staff.. George Edwards, Joe Whitt….Pass
Who said anything about McCarthy having a say in the next D-Coordinator. McCarthy had no say in O-Coordinators so I think like everything else, the decision will rest with the fuhrer.

I think Whitt could actually be a good. He has done well with the pass defense the last two year. His role right now is just a little bit below DC

Its probably gonna be him but that would be a meh hire for me
Not a whole lot out there tbh. Fangio is following Payton so he is out. Outside him there isnt really anyone with DC experience that moves the needle. Whitt most likely keeps the defense as is, and may wind up a better DC than alot of the guys we may have available with experience

The Cowboys DC job won't be appealing because McCarthy's long-term future is uncertain. I wouldn't join a team whose HC will probably only be around one more year when there are a ton of other opportunities around the league where a new HC will be putting together a staff and get at least a few years of job security.

So it will probably be another Mike Nolan-type of DC. Just some sucker who will take the job for a year.
I think you are looking at it backwards. The reason the job will probably be open isn't because Dan Quinn is getting fired. It's because our D is so good that he is being offered HQ jobs...after just 2 years. If you want a chance to be a HQ at some point in the future, this is the gig for you. Even if it is just a year or two stepping stone.

There is no salary cap on paying coaches so why can't we just pay Dan Quinn whatever amount it will take to keep him here coaching our defense that is actually playing quite well and could just use a couple more players.

Everybody has a price Jerry needs to find his and keep him we lose him and the wheels come off the wagon mark my words The players like him and will play for him
If we let him go we will have a whole bunch of guys giving half effort and getting paid like Kings
