Won'tWouldn't be up to McCarthy "accepting' Belichek as DC,.. he's a lame duck/AMC walking dead HC who management would target
and place Belichek if all were possible

But i just couldn't Belichek just serving as mere DC instead of actual HC.- not for a legendary future Hall of Fame HC that was the biggest dynasty in NFL history.

That's like asking Tuna Bill Parcells to come in as mere DC.
Heard that the Eagles were in play if they moved on from their hc

Garrett got 10 years …I don’t know why y’all think Mike will be fired.
Mike aint getting fired, this year is the last year of his 5 year contract and he got no extension.....................ergo, he is what they call a lame duck coach.

Unless he makes a big playoff run (LOL, yeah right) then his contract expires, and he disappears into the sunset.

I just have to see it to believe it.

So I'm just gonna ask it...

How do we feel about the 3-4?

Just off the top of my head

RDE: Osa Odighizuwa
NT: Jonathan Hankins
LDE: Mazi Smith
ROLB: Micah Parsons
RILB: DeMarvion Overshown
LILB: Damone Clark
LOLB: Sam Williams

Not saying we don't need a d-lineman and a LB for this to work, but we need that now and we might get better results from Parsons
Swap Tank for Mazi

Quinn is likely gonna take a few to a host of Defensive Assistants with him. We may wanna prepare for a potentially massive defensive coaching overhaul.

So, it will get interesting once we find out who becomes the new DC. What’s the philosophy? What’s the scheme? Where’s the emphasis?

Dan Quinn had many favorable characteristics to his defensive scheme. His defenses created turnovers and sacks, which always excite. But they were simultaneously soft up the middle against the run, and laid back at corner when they may have been better-served to press.

I can’t wait to see what emerges because, for all the hype on Dan Quinn, THAT defense was NOT ready to host THE SEVENTH SEED GB Packers - AT HOME FOR CRIPES SAKE!

Need Mike LB… maybe slide D Law inside, draft another DE - and feed many milkshakes to Mazi Smith. For starters. Hopefully, we get Diggs back full-go.

Let’s see what Parsons says now about wanting to be with Quinn. Maybe commanders are willing to give up there 1st round and 2nd and 3rd round picks this year and 1st round next year for him.

I'm definitely ok with Quinn taking a walk. After the spanking we took from Green Bay, I saw more than enough. A true embarrassment.

I'd like to get someone from the coaching tree of Spags. That guy has a great defense.

Wonder did Dan Quinn call that sorry Green Bay game on purpose! It's like Stab in the Back that he's going to the sorry Commanders!:mad:

Same could be said for the NY Giants.

Which of the NFL teams in mention would be the most appealing and attractive to a Belichek ?

Would take that for anyone on this current roster, so in other words,,,, never going to happen.

Heard nothing from the Giants interest yet, but the rumor was that the Eagles had legitimate interest in hiring him. With Bellicheck being 71, how many more years does he really have and sitting out a yr, certainly doesn't help that?

A mere year should not make a difference in him being able to walk the sidelines, bark at players and coaches or stand out in cold weather.
I still gather that he can be an extreme difficult personality to deal with. It's a reason why Tom Brady felt he had to escape NE and head to FLA.

@Ken , what you think playa??
I think he must have been really miserable here if he left here to go to that toilet.

I don't fear him going there at all. He is a DC and a really good one at that. Not everyone can be a HC and it is even less likely a DC can be a difference-making HC.

He is a loss for us though.
