Did anyone else hear on NFL network today, that he said he was interested in coaching again

I would like to see Dan reeves coach here.

He knows how to handle players and he has ties to the Cowboys.

Of course that may work against him. :(

I heard it on ESPN First Take. But nobody around here watches ESPN so ... ;)

Dan Reeves.

I always wanted him to coach here, not sure how feasible it is in 2009.

I don't want Reeves as head coach. He's had his chances and seems mediocre.

I would have loved to have had him 10 years ago, but now, I just don't see it happening:starspin

If he did coach here, I would want John Elway as the OC....could you imagine the fireworks after what went on between those two...:laugh2:

Dan - 65 years old, Super Bowl appearances with TWO DIFFERENT TEAMS
Wade - 62 years old, NO PLAYOFF WINS.

Reeves was replaced by Wade Phillips TWICE.

Wade was on both of those staffs. Wade did not continue in Atlanta. He did continue in Denver, for TWO WHOLE YEARS.

Dan Reeves is not going to be in Dallas, I just find it funny that people argue he is too old and he is only 3 years older than Wade, and has more accomplishments as a head coach than Wade will ever have. 3 Super Bowl appearances, 2 with Denver and 1 with Atlanta.

Reeves is not mediocre. Any coach that can get teams to multiple super bowls and go to three different franchises and win consistently is not mediocre.

That said, his time has past. I remember there was a day when I wished he'd have ended up in Big D because to me he is a Cowboy, but he needs to hang it up for good.

He did not "win consistently" with three different teams. In Atlanta, he had one season of 10+ wins in 7 years. Nearly half the time, his Falcons teams won 5 or fewer games. His record in ATL was below .500. His record in NY was below .500 too, having a 10+ win season only once. The only place the he consistently won was Denver. Even there, it took him 6 years to win his first playoff game.
