He did not "win consistently" with three different teams. In Atlanta, he had one season of 10+ wins in 7 years. Nearly half the time, his Falcons teams won 5 or fewer games. His record in ATL was below .500. His record in NY was below .500 too, having a 10+ win season only once. The only place the he consistently won was Denver. Even there, it took him 6 years to win his first playoff game.
He did about as well as could be done in NY. He took over a team at the very end of the Simms/Taylor era and milked one last good year out of them.

In Atlanta, much like Mike Shanahan in Denver, Reeves was eventually the victim of his own personnel decisions.

But he's a good football coach. He did get to the SB 4 times with less than spectacular teams, and has won a lot of January games, something our current HC can't say.

But IMO, he's just too far out of the game and too long in the tooth to coach again.

Moot point anyway....Reeves put his name out for consideration during the search for the current coach. It obviously didn't draw much attention. I agree that he is a good coach....not to mention a Landry-era Cowboy who knows more about winning than ANYBODY (including the coaching staff) currently on the Cowboys roster.

Did anyone else hear on NFL network today, that he said he was interested in coaching again

I was hoping we would bring him in a long time ago. Not sure how effective he would be now since he's been out of coaching for a while (he last coached in 2003). Plus he's 64 (soon to be 65) which is a little old for a HC these days.

He certainly has a track record of success wherever he's been. The funny thing is that he's been replaced by Wade Philips twice! (Denver & Atlanta) It would be interesting to see it in reverse.

He's a very good coach but he got to some of those SB's on the arm of Elway.

He got to a Superbowl with Chris Chandler at QB. That is impressive.
