Forbes actually reminds me of Witherspoon, who is my favorite player in this whole draft. Both Forbes and Spoon play the CB position very naturally. Their instincts are great and both of them just harass the hell out of receivers.

Sauce is a pretty good comparison because both are such natural corners.

Forbes really plays the ball well and is a pure ball hawk. It is all about the ball at CB/WR and he is always finding it and keeping it away from the receiver one way or another. He is just a really good football player.

So many corners are just athletes playing the position and they’re learning what to do. Some may turn into good players and some may not… but Forbes and Spoon are really good players, right now. They both have great eyes, anticipation and athleticism, and they compete like hell for the ball. They both will stick their nose into contact and are just really a pain in the *** for offenses.

Forbes watching Gilmore for a year while he gets his feet wet and just putting on weight is something that I really want to see. Forbes has everything you want in a corner… he just needs to get a little stronger.
I will take a look at Witherspoon. He is considered one of the top 2 cornerbacks so I have stayed away from him as he will be a top 10 pick. These players from big conferences playing on average teams always seem to end up being great pros. Look forward to seeing the kid.

Yep, Cam Smith. The 6-foot, 190-pound Smith has quality size for the next level. Team sources, however, said character concerns are hurting Smith with teams, which have identified issues such as work ethic, makeup, and off-the-field habits.
I have not heard that… that is good to know. It really will hurt him, particularly in such a great CB class.

I like Smith a good bit. Really, the main issue that I see with him is that he can get really grabby at the top of the route… but that can be coached out of him.

I think he’s a really nice prospect.
His style is a lot like Horn from a couple years ago. I had the same concerns with him when we were considering him. I don’t think Smith is quite as good a prospect. But he’s an Alpha with smooth cover skills. I like him quite a bit as well.

He is real good and physical, despite his weight. Believe he will be long gone when we are on the clock, may even be a top 10 pick.

He is my #4 corner and I heard he is definitely going to be a 1st rd pick. Question is will he get to 26? In my opinion, he is a legitimate, future #1 corner. Taking him will also give the Cowboys some leverage in the Diggs extension talks coming up.
Can you imagine a third and 8 package with Gilmore, Diggs, Bland, Forbes and IM in the secondary with a combination of Wilson and Kearse at linebacker with our front 4 rushing. Frightening defensive package.

Man you are going to love him. I started watching him some last fall and, me having been a DB my whole life, immediately wanted Spoon in Dallas. At that point, I thought he might be available where Dallas picks… but no such luck. It happens every time I find a guy that I desperately want Dallas to draft.

Anyway, he is the best corner prospect that I’ve seen in years. He has everything you could want on a CB prospect. He is tough as hell and barely allowed anyone to catch anything all season long. It is incredible.

He’s such a great player. I think he’ll go at 6 to Detroit.

I’ve also been pretty hard on Ringo but he’s still a quality prospect. QBr against in the 60s the last 2 years and he’s 2 years younger than some of these guys which scouts do put value in.

I don’t love him at 26 but do like him in a trade down or trade up from 58.

This team isn‘t above taking a player with character concern. And taking them early.

It makes me very upset that there is zero percent chance he ends up in Dallas. Very few prospects at any position make me feel like he’s a sure superstar… Spoon is a sure superstar.

What about him at 58? With such great depth at the position, it is possible 1-2 fall through the cracks, especially teams filling the need in rd 1. Agree, Forbes/Banks are probably the only ones I consider at 26, if the top 3 are already off the board. Also, corners like Turner/Clark could go ahead of him.

No doubt he is real good. He is also my #1 corner in the class.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he’s a 2nd round prospect now. I don’t see anyone pulling the trigger on him in round 1.

He still could end up being a good player… but it’ll take a little work. Physically he’s good except in his change of direction. I just wonder about the mental part of his game. Quinn could probably get him playing well in this defense. You just have to ask him to do the right things.

But his ball awareness seems off… which is what worries me about him.

I’d be doing cartwheels just don’t think it’s happening.

Teams are going to looks at this size / length, athletic profile and age and just eat it up.

I still think he goes in the 1st.

Favorite player in the draft. You know what you’re getting. He‘s right there with guys like Sauce and Surtain. And that’s high praise. Those are two of the best corners in the game already.

Diggs was one that fell through the cracks. Strong ball skills, good production in a power conference. Diggs doesn't have elite speed like Ringo, but he has better length. Think it is possible he is the one who falls.

Literally does everything you want a corner to do at a high level. Physical as hell and will raise the level of your entire secondary. There is something about him that just energizes his defensive team mates.

He is the proverbial junkyard dog.
